As we approach the 2026 high school football offseason, we are wrapping up our latest round of rankings update. To finish off the rankings update, we have a new class rankings release! Our debut Top 100 rankings for the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky has been officially posted. With these rankings being released, I have been taking the past few weeks to break them down by position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, I will wrap my positional rankings breakdowns with our top ATH in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='868414' first='Xavier' last='Wooldridge'] established himself as one of the top players in the state in his class with a strong freshman season. On offense, he lined up mainly in the slot at receiver where he was able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease to create separation. He also proved to be dangerous in the open field after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes/screens into big gains at any moment. Xavier finished his freshman year as Somerset's leading receiver with 27 receptions for 418 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. He also carried the ball 21 times for 209 yards and four touchdowns, and made an impact on defense, recording 32 tackles and returning a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Wooldridge currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1402920' first='Jaelyn' last='Anderson'] is another player who made a huge impact as a freshman. On offense, Taylor County loves to get the ball in Anderson's hands in the open field, whether it is out of the backfield or in the slot at receiver. Anderson is very shifty, showing the ability to make quick cuts to make defenders miss with ease. He also has the breakaway speed to run away from the defense for big gains. Anderson led his team in receiving as a freshman, catching 35 passes for 405 yards and a touchdown in 10 games, and also carried the ball 34 times for 296 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned one kickoff for a touchdown this past season, and recorded 15 tackles and an interception on defense. Jaelyn recently picked up his first offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1306563' first='Darius' last='Ridener'] caught my attention when evaluating freshman year film. He is a true big play threat out of the backfield, using his explosive speed to hit the running lane in a hurry then run away from the defense on long runs. Ridener has also shown the contact balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He finished his freshman season with 72 carries for 437 yards and five touchdowns in nine games. Ridener also led his team in receiving with 20 catches for 269 yards and three touchdowns. He also made an impact on defense at outside linebacker, recording 22 tackles as a freshman. Darius also proved to be a reliable returner on special teams. Ridener should be a player to keep a close eye on as his role on both sides of the ball continues to grow moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232241' first='Eli' last='Boone'] is another player who impressed as a freshman. On defense, he lined up at outside linebacker where he was very impressive against the run. He does a great job of diagnosing the play quickly then using his speed to get to the ball carrier to make the tackle before they can get going. Boone finished his freshman year with 76 tackles and four tackles for loss in 12 games. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing this past season with one interception and several quarterback pressures. Boone also made an impact on offense as a running back and backup quarterback. He ran the ball 28 times for 188 yards as a freshman. Eli is a player who college coaches should keep a close eye on as he continues to develop.

To wrap up our top five ATH in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1652921' first='Dixon' last='Mount']. Mount impressed in his role as a freshman in Oldham County's running back rotation, finishing the year with 23 carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. He is a tough ball carrier to bring down in the open field as he has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss and the strength to run straight through them without breaking stride. Mount has also shown the speed to break away for big gains once he hits the second level. He also finished his freshman year with 10 receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and recorded six tackles on defense. Mount will be a player to keep a close eye on as his varsity reps continue to increase moving forward.
