A sleeper running back to know for the Milton Eagles, Atchison was the team's second leading rusher last season with the potential to have a giant senior season as the Eagle's possible lead back. As a junior last season the playmaking 5-foot-10 195-pounder ran for an impressive 522 yards and four touchdowns. He ran for 128 yards and one touchdown against Alpharetta while rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns a couple weeks later against Chattahooche. Atchison also ended the season with a respectable 5.9 yards per carry. He's one of the top returning running backs in the region and should see plenty of opportunities to carry the ball and make plays as a senior in 2026. Like many others, this promising back will be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings.

A sleeper defensive back to know down in South Georgia, Hayes showed last fall as a junior that not only can he go up and snag the football like a receiver, but that he can really come down-hill and make a play against the run. He plays hard, recovers quickly on receivers, and was consistently one of the better defenders on the Thomasville defense. He showed a lot of D1 talent last season after making 30 tackles, picking off one pass and breaking up five more. His recruitment is picking up with new offers from Old Dominion, Liberty, Kennesaw State, Temple, among others. He'll also be an easy additon to the next Prep Redzone rankings.

A quick, twitchy wideout Southwest of Atlanta, Maestre is a dependable wideout and playmaking defensive back who can get open on his own and pick up yards after the catch on offense. He shows quick feet, can create separation in the middle of the field, and can be a vertical weapon when the opportunity is there. The East Coweta playmaker caught 24 passes on offense for 356 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Maestre made 26 tackles and picked off four passes. He's earned recent offers from Louisville, West Virginia, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, among others. He'll also see a solid bump in the next Prep Redzone rankings.

A South Georgia wideout with plenty of breakaway speed, Lockett was a go-to weapon for the Colquitt County offense last season as he caught a team-leading 40 passes for 811 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's a quick, shifty receiver who is dangerous in space, looking to score anytime he has the ball. He was one of the better 2027 receivers in the area last season, and now his recruitment is soaring. The 6-foot-0 175-pounder from Moultrie saw major offers come his way in January from Georgia and Georgia Tech. Now, he's earned a recent offer from Florida State with more likely on the way.

While he's still flying under the radar, Mullins, one of the more productive running backs across the state last season, is finally getting some much-deserved recognition. After running through defenses throughout the 2025 season, taking off for 1,310 yards and 12 touchdowns, Mullins saw two recent offers come his way from Troy and App State. Still, that's not nearly enough. The Gwinnett County back was a tackle-breaking machine last season as a junior and should be even better as a senior in 2027. He's one of the top returning backs in the region and should likely see more offers come his way this spring and summer.
