Totino-Grace is one of the premier 4A programs in the state. They constantly produce elite talent, including NFL Pro-Bowler Joe Alt, and always seem to find themselves among state title contention. Last season, they once again made their way to the state tournament, and in 2026, they're gearing up for a deep run. With some key pieces returning, and some underclassmen expected to step up in a big way, I'm pumped to review some Totino-Grace film!!

I've long held the belief that Bergan is one of the top prospects in the state, and his junior season validated that belief. He ran for over 900 yards last season, while averaging a stunning 11.2 YPC. In his film, Bergan is a bulldozer. His film is 5 minutes of broken tackles and breakaway touchdowns. He's built enough to break tackles repeatedly, and explosive enough to separate from defenders once he breaks through the LOS. His contact balance is also fantastic, and Bergan also has shocking agility for someone with a true 235 lb frame. When he hits the LOS, he'll find a small gap and manage to exploit it for massive gains. There are very few backs who are better at running between the tackles than this kid. Bergan is built out of marble and boasts a 4.2 GPA. It's no wonder that he's one of the top athletes in Minnesota.

While he's listed as an RB, Buchanan spent a lot of time last season as an effective slot receiver for the Eagles. When you dive into his tape, it becomes abundantly clear how quick and shifty he is. Buchanan is a problem in open space, and his agility combined with his vision make him a threat to break off any reception or carry for a massive chunk play. He can throw moves on defenders to make them miss as well. Buchanan has a bag full of jukes that can easily make defenders miss. When he's running routes, Buchanan does a great job of creating space. He's also got a ton of utility as a kick returner, where he gets to maximize his abilities in space again. Definitely an athlete to keep an eye out for this offseason.

A freshman who spent a litany of time playing on varsity this season, Taumalolo is widely regarded as one of the best 2029 prospects in the state. Primarily a fullback, the young bruiser put forth an insane amount of film in 2025. Watching his tape is like a throwback to 2003. Taumalolo lights people up. He flies through the "A" gap like a missile and crushes the first defender in his path. Whether it's a senior defensive lineman or an LB flowing over the top, he's colliding with them and knocking them out of the gap. He's also shown some utility as a ball carrier, and his rumbling style makes him difficult to tackle one-on-one. I've always been a fan of fullbacks, and Taumalolo is an exciting player to watch.

A returning varsity starter on the offensive line who has experience at tackle, guard, and center, Burnes is one of the more underrated OL prospects in the 4A. A lot of his tape is actually at the interior positions, where Burnes is able to play to his advantages. Very few people work downfield as well as this kid. He can frequently be seen at the second level, or sometimes even third, when he's out in front blocking for his RB. He does an excellent job of blocking in space, and that first contact he makes with defenders is physical and sometimes jaw-dropping. He delights in lighting up LBs and can crush defensive linemen with his powerful down blocks. I'm pumped to see what he can do during his senior campaign.

A freshman QB and three-sport athlete (Football/Basketball/Baseball) who saw a ton of time on varsity last season, Cone is perhaps one of the most intriguing prospects on the Eagles roster. He's got a great frame for a 2029 QB, and I really liked his tape. His poise in the pocket is very rare for such a young prospect, especially one making their varsity debut. He's also athletic enough to extend plays with his legs and take read options for huge chunk gains. He throws a great spiral and doesn't hesitate to push the ball downfield. Cone throws a good ball off-platform, too, and watching his tape, you'd think he's a multi-year varsity starter. I think Cone's ceiling is high, and I'd love to see him sling it in person sometime this summer.

A varsity DB/WR for the Eagles, Jacob put forth equally impressive tape from both sides of the ball. On defense, Jacob showed off some serious ball-hawking ability. He does a great job of reading the QB's eyes and flowing to the ball. On two separate occasions, he robbed receivers and was able to make up some ground while returning the INT. On offense, Jacob sees both utility as a traditional wideout and as a wingback. He's got good hands and fights hard for extra yardage after the catch. Should definitely be a name to keep an eye out for in 2026.

A well-built defensive lineman, Harrer is someone who I see with an substansial amount of potential. He doesn't have a ton of junior tape, but I liked what he had to offer. The kid is super athletic and possesses a dangerously quick get-off that creates problems for slow OL. He can easily beat offensive linemen across their face and will light up a QB if given the chance. His unique blend of size, speed, and agility makes him a tough ask for anyone one-on-one. I'm pumped to see more of him in 2026. I think he could be a big-time stock riser.

An all-around athlete who makes his presence felt on both sides of the ball, Drummer has some tape on offense and on defense from the 2025 season. His offensive tape is at QB, where he takes a bootleg 37 yards to the house. He did an excellent job of selling the handoff and was able to pick up substantial speed en route to the TD. On defense, Drummer got to his drop and picked off a ball that was overthrown while high-pointing it. I'd love to see more tape from him going forward.

A wideout with some varsity film from his sophomore season, Meyer primarily saw success on a variety of jet sweeps. On his tape, his speed stood out to me. Meyer is fast, especially for a 2028. He does a great job of following his blockers, particularly in space, and his ability to find run lanes impresses me. I'd love to see him put on some weight and produce some more film over the course of his junior season.
