If you aren't already aware, one of Minnesota's premier offseason events went down yesterday in Vadnais Heights at TCO Sports Garden. Trench Mob, a 2015-founded training and 5v5 traveling OL/DL competition service and program founded by NFL alumni Julius Williams and Anthony Smith, collaborated with LineofScrimmage (LOS), the Twin Cities-based elite, premier linemen skill development and team consulting headed by Totino-Grace, Montana State, and New Orleans Saints product Lewis Kidd, for an inaugural, first-of-its-kind tryout up in the frigid Land of 10,000 Lakes. Within a couple hours of work, one of the most decorated conglomerates of linemen (particularly DL) to hit a MN offseason stop congregated for some training, technique, and of course, 1v1 competition, to name TrenchMobUSA's MN 5v5 squad, the first in state history. B1G talent all over the board, and lucky for you, PRZMN has your exclusive coverage. Your top performing DL, from one of the more loaded group of MN DL I've seen in a while, is below, exclusive only to PRZMN!

--

Alpha: [player_tooltip player_id='1452200' first='Nehemiah' last='Ombati'] (Shakopee) 2027. 6'3, 275 lbs. DL.

OL MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1653199' first='Liam' last='Nessler'] (Mankato West) 2027. 6'4, 240 lbs. OT.

Top Performers

[player_tooltip player_id='1452200' first='Nehemiah' last='Ombati'] (Shakopee) 2027. 6'3, 275 lbs.

What a showing and what a past calendar year it's been for [player_tooltip player_id='1452200' first='Nehemiah' last='Ombati']. It was a little more than a year ago to the day that PRZMN first laid eyes on the then-Waconia sophomore, fresh off his second season of prep football, at the LOS Holiday Clinic at TrainingHAUS in Eagan. Fast forward a year and Ombati - now a Shakopee Saber junior holding 8 D1 offers, five of which being P4 scholarships, is a rock solid pickup truck of a utility DL who came into Vadnais Heights and flat-out dominated the inaugural LOS x TrenchMob 5v5 MN tryout. The overall Top Performer and Alpha of the event, Ombati, aka the Big Dog in the House, was significantly more filled out since the last time I've seen him and reported to me he weighed around 275 and I believe it. At or near 6'3, Ombati looked all-of a 6A defensive linemen and future P4/B1G signee, looking twice as big as some of his peers, and throughout the afternoon of competition, OL could hardly get a hand on Ombati, much less block him. Super twitched up, expert at playing OL's hands, and the hand-fighting ability was some of the smoothest, cleanest, and most effective I've ever seen in an unpadded camp 1v1 setting like this. Could anticipate and perfectly counter strikes, was very intentional/professional in the planning and execution of his pass-rush moves, and also displayed noticeable bend, both in drill work and 1v1 competition. The 275 lber. finished his day by bench pressing a near-300-pound OG in what looked like some teach tape on a blocking sled under a hot August sun during preseason camp, getting up and under the poor OG and nearly lifting him off his feet in a raw display of power and strength. Talk about coming into the offseason hot!

https://twitter.com/Nehemiah_Ombati/status/2014138873681453335

[player_tooltip player_id='1642211' first='Zivad' last='Robinson'] (MPLS Camden) 2027. 6'4, 280 lbs.

Staying in the theme of the calendar year timeline and progression, MPLS Camden's [player_tooltip player_id='1642211' first='Zivad' last='Robinson'] undoubtedly earns the title of "Most Improved" representing LOS events. Another now-D1-offered linemen who PRZMN first saw at the aforementioned LOS Holiday Clinic, Robinson is a refrigerator of a DT/OG prospect, owning one of the leaner and more natural 280 pound builds I've seen scouting Minnesotans. An impactful and physical presence on the gridiron while padded, Robinson is set to tear up the offseason camp circuit this spring/summer, as he has added notable and effective twitch to his game and seems a lot more comfortable and effective with his intentional hand usage off the snap and throughout a rep. Throughout the dozens of reps, Robinson never seemed to tire out, and he always played fast, doing a great job of coming in and executing a plan rep to rep. The 612 product was particularly effective at the snap and possessed good bend, impressive pad level off the snap, and was generally winning as the low man despite being taller than all of the OGs and OCs he repped against. I also was impressed by his clean and borderline unstoppable chop/rip, as well as in-your-face power when he chose to use it. Already possessing a North Dakota offer, Robinson could be one of the state's biggest winners this upcoming summer camp szn.

[player_tooltip player_id='1642211' first='Zivad' last='Robinson'] - 2027

Antayos Kabaalu (Miles Macdonell Collegiate, Winnipeg, MB) 2028 in Canada, 2029 in USA. 6'3, 290 lbs.

Brad Black at RecruitReady - based out of the underrated Winnipeg area up north in Canada - should be on every FBS personnel and recruiting department employee's contact list. PRZMN has developed a strong relationship with Black through the years, and every time we seem to run into him and his RecruitReady prospects, a new and somehow more impressive freak seems to have revealed himself. One of these freaks is Antayos "Tay" Kabaalu, who we met and got to know last summer, highlighted by his otherworldly performance at North Dakota's first Flagship Camp of the summer, where the then-Canadian-freshman was the only prospect to earn a UND offer on the spot thanks to a flat-out dominant performance at the padded camp. Kabaalu was particularly fearsome on the board drill, dominating upperclassmen from North & South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin like he was working against JV competition, so when I saw him standing amongst the loaded DL group at the LOS x TrenchMob 5v5 MN tryout, my heart nearly skipped a beat. Now three or four exposure and visibility points into the Canadian sophomore/American freshman, I think I can safely proclaim that this is the best prep DT prospect I've ever seen, and it's not just because he's added over an inch-and-a-half and 15 pounds of good weight since I've seen him last.

Now a Hulk of a 6'3, 290 lber., Kabaalu proved early and often that he wasn't in Vadnais Heights to play around, proving himself to be a high-motor rep monster and was a top 3 biggest overall winner in terms of volume of reps on Monday afternoon, many of them exceptionally clean and even mechanical. The big man displayed, among other things, excellent twitch that could win to either shoulder seemingly on command, loose hips, bulldozing power put a couple well-built OGs and OCs flat on their butts when Kabaalu transitioned to power, and a nonstop motor. He showed off great hand usage, did a good job of not allowing iOL to play more than half a man, most of the time even his chest, as OL were playing the back of his shoulders more often than not, and could drop his hips and smoothly bend at the top of the arc for clean wins against quality and experienced iOL competition. Plus, the Canadian's ability to counter proved effective, he was never out of the rep, and I loved his big-time burst when he sticks his cleat in the turf and worked laterally, exploding out of the his cuts and flat by iOL's facemasks for awe-inspiring wins. He's all upper body right now, but still proved himself an unstoppable as the afternoon wore on, rose to the occasion and got better as the competition ramped up and things got more intense. Remember the name.

Antayos Kabaalu - 2029

[player_tooltip player_id='1659441' first='Dorian' last='Ward'] (Bloomington Jefferson) 2027. 6'4, 215 lbs.

There always seems to be under-the-radar talent in Bloomington, and the two high schools' talent pool is represented well by Jefferson Jaguars stud DE [player_tooltip player_id='1659441' first='Dorian' last='Ward']. Ward has put in some serious work in the weight room since I saw him last, which I believe was a Minnesota Gophers prospect camp in June of 2025, showing off some serious muscle mass and definition at a strapping 6'4, 210-215 pounds with notable length and an impressive amount of room to grow. One of the most lethal and dangerous rushers off the edge, Ward was twitched up, cuts tight off OT's backsides, and could unlock his hips at the top of the arc. I love the get-off, which forces OTs onto their heels at the snap, and he flashed an effective usage and understanding of the dip/rip and chop/rips techniques. Hard-to-miss upside and potential in the eye-catching Bloomington talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1659441' first='Dorian' last='Ward'] - 2027

[player_tooltip player_id='1369565' first='Clarence' last='Johnson Jr.'] (Cretin-Derham Hall) 2027. 6'5, 210 lbs.

The prospect I was #1 most excited to see undoubtedly was Cretin-Derham Hall's [player_tooltip player_id='1369565' first='Clarence' last='Johnson Jr.'] The next installment of CDH's ultra-decorated lineage of blue-chip football prospects, Johnson Jr. doubles as the state's hottest - as well as newest - name on the recruiting trail, as he's fresh off an offer from NCAA national runner-up Miami (FL), which occurred near the peak of Miami's playoff success on January 5th. A lean, mean but now-verified 6'5, hovering somewhere around 210-215 pounds, Johnson Jr. had everyone dying to see him live, and after some pause and anticipation, Johnson Jr. steps up, all eyes on him, and the 6'5 EDGE pumps out two flat-out jaw-dropping wins, demonstrating some of the most explosive twitch I've seen from a MN pass-rusher while working with PRZ. Johnson Jr. is super raw, basically winning of sheer athletic ability and determination alone right now, but that does not negate the jaw-dropping tools he flashed in his wins throughout the afternoon at TCO Sports Garden, as he's legit one of the twitchiest DEs I've seen in my 6-7 years scouting for PRZMN. His outstandingly effective footwork and can change direction suddenly and smoothly at the last possible second, leaving OTs grasping at air, and the St. Paul product was impressively bendy and flexible, able to drop his hips and generate a ton of power in his cuts, and his fast-twitch muscles and COD ability is reminiscent of high-level basketball players in our great Land of 10,000 Lakes. The inside move is always up for grabs with a 6'5, 215 poundish DE with Johnson's incredible blend of length and quickness, and he also proved he could dip/rip win through contact and even threw out nasty spin move to end the showcase. Yes, folks, the P4 talent is real. Should be scorching hot summer for the CDH junior stock riser.

Clarence Johnson - 2027 CDH.

Ramsey Millar (Oak Park, Winnipeg, MB) 2028. 6'4, 240 lbs.

Another RecruitReady freak out of the loaded Winnipeg area, this was my first introduction to Ramsey Millar, but I won't be forgetting the 6'4, 240 lb. 2028 anytime soon! With one of the best frames in attendance, Millar was a challenging combination of speed, length, and quickness coming at you hot off the edge of the LOS, but like many RecruitReady trench warfare specialists, his technique and pass-rushing ability were well above what his age would suggest. Millar owned one of the smoother, twitchier jab steps in attendance, forcing OL to guess, overstep, and reach as they jump on that first cut and fake, and he could win off the snap or at the top of the arc, depending on what the OT gave him. Millar was also impressively twitchy for his size and threw out a couple clean, well-timed spin moves for impressive 1v1 wins throughout competition. Could be a huge offseason and Summer Camp SZN for Millar and his RecruitReady cohorts. Stay tuned!

Ramsey Miller - 2028.

Honorable Mentions

[player_tooltip player_id='1288296' first='Carson' last='Pruett'] (Princeton) 2027. 6'1, 230 lbs.

A name very well known name to PRZMN, Pruett is one of the more athletic and dynamic defensive prospects in Minnesota, as well as one of its most dangerous pass rushers, cementing it early and often at the LOS x Trench Mob 5v5 tryouts in Vadnais Heights. Pruett was flying out of his stance and off the snap like he was shot out of a cannon on Monday afternoon, and added with his noteworthy quickness and lateral agility, as well as hand usage, and the Princeton product was routinely exploiting OT's inside shoulder as well as threatening upfield at the top of the arc during 1v1s. Sadly, he unfortunately tweaked a hammy early into competition, but managed to impressive the LOS and Trench Mob staff enough to earn a spot on the MN 5v5 traveling squad. Not a bad afternoon of work for Pruett!

[player_tooltip player_id='1397399' first='Jacob' last='English'] (Crosby-Ironton) 2028. 6'5, 230 lbs.

One of the more athletic and promising Outstate, smalls school pass rushers I've seen in my time with PRZMN, [player_tooltip player_id='1397399' first='Jacob' last='English'] has been highly-touted and firmly on our radar since he was a rising freshman when we first caught eyes of him at a Minnesota Gophers prospect camp. The Next Great Prospect out of Crosby-Ironton, the home of Noah Gindorff, English possesses excellent size for an underclassmen, and he sure knows how to use it when it comes to 1v1 competition. Demonstrating great length, the ability to drop his hips and win the leverage battle, and the awareness to utilize an effective chop/rip that can win rushes through contact, I especially liked how English set up OTs thanks to his anticipation, ability to play the hands, as well as see and exploit inside moves. The 230-pounder was also strong through contact, versatile at the top of the arc, and continues to work and finish his pass rushers moves through tight opposition from OTs. The dude is hungry for success and has all the tools to find it. Keep an eye on him and his fellow 2028s in the upcoming PRZMN 2028 Ranking's Update.

https://twitter.com/JacobEnglish09/status/2014095405898732011

[player_tooltip player_id='1577844' first='Lucas' last='Nordstrom'] (East Ridge) 2027. An impressively lean yet thick 6'2, 250, Nordstrom owns positional versatility and showed off a skillset of loose hips, speed to power transitions, and the ability to win in a variety of ways at the top of the arc. Nordstrom sees and takes advantage of inside moves thanks to a clean jab step and a strong chop/dip/rip, and also can drop his hips and shows some bend at 6'2, 250. Yes, he's undersized, but holy cow, OTs could hardly get a hand on Hatfield, much less block him, as this kid as much speed and juice off the edge as any standup pass rusher in the state. First off, he may have been the top overall performer during drill work to begin the event, running the hoop and flashing bend better than any and all DL in attendance and particularly impressing the LOS defensive staff working the tryout. His outrageous speed and twitch had OTs stuck in the mud, and he was really impressive at the top of the arc. The speed/twitch combination was lethal, especially for bigger bodied OTs, and he wowed the staff and media in attendance on more than one occasion. Definitely a name I'll be passing onto PRZWI Head Scout Mark Johnson.

[player_tooltip player_id='2081390' first='Lemar' last='Gatlin'] (MPLS Camden) 2027. DT. 5'8, 230 lbs.

A promising DIII DT prospect, MPLS Camden was once again well-represented by the high-energy, competitive, borderline trash-talking 3T/NG [player_tooltip player_id='2081390' first='Lemar' last='Gatlin']! The junior has good footwork at the position, showing some quick feet and lateral agility for his size, and boy does he have juice, as well as the "beat the man in front of me" mentality no matter who is lining up across from him. Gatlin punches above his weight and has some legit pass-rushing juice and utility from the interior. UMAC, MIAC, GPAC, MCAC programs: be on notice!

[player_tooltip player_id='1543074' first='Camarrious' last='Sweezy'] (MPLS North) 2027. 6', 200 lbs.

MPLS North was well represented in Vadnais Heights at the inaugural LOS x Trench Mob 5v5 tryouts, beginning with junior two-way lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1543074' first='Camarrious' last='Sweezy']. An absolute thrilling OL/DL to watch padded up on the gridiron, Sweezy is a beast between the whistles, and speaking of punching above your weight, has some serious juice and impact at the LOS for his size. One of the most explosive DL off the snap in attendance, Sweezy flashed some impressive and athletic wins, and was the lone DL to effectively use an arm-over, which, although risky, can be pulled off if the rusher is explosive and quick enough to pull it off, which Sweezy was. This kid has a TON of good football left in front of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2082344' first='Malachi' last='Tolliver'] (MPLS North) 2027. 6', 270 lbs.

The final standout DL of the day, PRZMN once again found our eyes finding a MPLS North Polar. DL [player_tooltip player_id='2082344' first='Malachi' last='Tolliver'] developed one of the more fun, friendly, yet competitive rivalries of the day, battling with a 6A OL for some physical and high-energy battles that brought the best out of both parties. Tolliver, who could project to either side of the ball in college, demonstrated good pad level off the snap, and I liked how he played OL's hands and was strong through contact. Showing big-time hustle whistle to whistle, Tolliver was also displaying tons of power that he could use effectively when needed. North High School is a good stop for college OL/DL coaches this upcoming cycle!

--
