The QB position has taken off in these past few seasons here in WI. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='948097' first='Patrick' last='Greisen'] finished 2025 with a State Championship and the greatest single season passing performance we have ever seen. The depth behind his was elite with guys headed to the D2 and D3 levels for football while a few other top end talents decided to pursue other sports. With the graduation of the Class of 2026 we will be losing many kids who led the way in passing categories in 2025, however the cupboards are far from bare. Among the most productive returning passers we have QB1, a few rapidly rising QBs, a couple small school gems, and more. Let's talk numbers and dive into some season highlights so we can see what it is that leads these kids to success week in and week out.

This is the cream of the crop among 2027 QBs. Tyler is a fantastically gifted passer. He checks the most boxes among all his peers from arm strength to ball placement, decision making, pinpoint accuracy to every level of the field. Tyler has excellent command over the football, knows where to go with the ball, is poised under pressure and is a winner. He has so much experience already under his belt. The junior enters this huge offseason with 1 offer currently. That is sure to grow over the coming months as we build towards what should an exciting 2026 season for him. The junior is extremely dedicated to his development in the offseason on top of it all while shining on the basketball court too. So expect an even better passer this summer at camps.

The junior signal caller out of Delavan-Darien had so much responsibility for the success of the D-D offense. They are a team that is very willing to take things to the air for the majority of snaps and it is because of the strides Quintin has made. Arizola is going to stand tall in the pocket, stare down pressure with his eyes downfield, utilize quick feet through his drop back, and make quick and smart decisions. Quintin has such a strong command over his offense too. On top of all that, he has made leaps in his development in terms of arm strength. The ball darts into his target's hands and that improvement in velocity hasn't taken away from his accuracy. Quintin is in line to push for lead in many of the passing categories.

In 2025 sophomore QB [player_tooltip player_id='1287562' first='Dalton' last='Steinke'] stepped into the QB1 role for Catholic Memorial and didn't look back. The underclassman follows a long line of successful CM QBs and his first season suggests he is working his way towards being the best in the bunch. A solid frame, smooth but quick feet, and a fast release equip him to be able to see the field and get the ball out quickly and on time. The 2028 doesn't shy away from chances to show off the deep ball either. He can get it out there to his elite targets and hit them in stride so that they can catch and run without breaking stride. The sophomore was extremely efficient with his passes too turning those 114 completions into 28 TDs. This is just the start for Dalton too. His trajectory of development is going up quickly.

Garrett is another athlete who has to step up and handle the majority of touches/attempts for his offense. The junior responded to that responsibility by doing a great job of protecting the football. He finished 2025 with a 8:1 TD:INT ratio. On tape it is play after play showing his touch to beat defenders and give his men chances for big plays after the catch. The left handed passer doesn't sacrifice big plays either. He will not hesitate to go deep, making that ability to protect the ball even more impressive. Garrett is going to be a big riser when the rankings update debuts next Monday.

Garcia and the Waukesha South offense is another one that will lean on the passing attack. They have some solid weapons out wide, and a signal caller that is developing as a passer year over year. I really enjoy watching this kid throw the ball. His entire body works together as one unit to get behind the ball and drive it with velocity, and his entire throwing motion is so compact and quick leading to the ball coming out quick and hot when needed. I love the accuracy too and understanding of where to put the ball to give his guy a chance without risk of turnover. This should be a fun offense to watch in 2026.

Ben put himself on our radar this season starting when PRZ WI attended one of his early season games. From there the junior QB went on to have a really productive season. The kid is built like an RB, but he is going to stand in the pocket and sling the ball round the field. Ben is at his best when he can throw in rhythm, hit that back foot while finding his target, then driving the ball downfield with velocity or with touch to drop it into spots. When things are clicking and on time Ben can keep his offense rolling with anyone. He returns a key weapon or two this next season too so I'm excited for his development and final campaign at this level.

Hard to be one of the top passers returning in the state when you're also busy rushing for 1,000+ yards. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1627996' first='Bode' last='Falkner'] made that look easy though as he carved up defenses with his arm and legs in 2025. We have to focus on the passing though because there is plenty to talk about. Bode is such a gifted athlete that it looks easy and natural when he drops back to pass. Light on his feet, lightning quick throwing motion and release, the ball jumps out of his hand with velocity. It is impressive how naturally gifted he is at throwing the ball around the field. He clearly made improvements in the finer parts of his technique, but there is room for even more growth. That will only make him more of a threat this coming season. The dual threat returns talented weapons too. Between that and his impressive natural gifts expect a monster year in 2026 from Bode.

I love doing these types of articles because it was while researching the numbers that I came across Brock and his highly productive 2025 season. The small school athlete carved up defenses on Friday nights in 2025. His talent jumps off the tape when you watch his highlights. He has no problems letting it rip 20, 30, 40 yards downfield with velocity. There are multiple corner routes and deep outs that flexed his arm strength as well as accuracy and touch. This is the type of athlete that the D3 level steals. Brock could put together a great camp season this summer. Solid frame, next level caliber arm talent, and there will be plenty of production to verify that he can sling it. Don't overlook this kid.

Joe had quite the year in 2025. Despite Baldwin-Woodville being a very run heavy offense Joe was able to put up 22 passing TDs. The dual threat QB put up almost 500 yards on the ground and 13 more TDs, making for a great season that included a playoff run. The junior has adequate arm strength that can get the ball out while on the move or off platform and still hit the second level of the secondary. While he isn't the biggest kid, Joe uses that concise throwing motion to get behind the ball and maximize his range with the football. I'm excited to see if he can beat his 35 TD junior season next fall.
