PRZWV Winter Showcase Top Performers: Linebacker Edition

In total, there were about 60 kids, which allowed us to focus on smaller groups of players and really dive into evaluations. What stood out the most about Colton was his quickness and range while dropping into coverage. He did a great job reading plays, cutting off routes, and being physical at the catch point. Colton also showed good instincts when playing through the receiver's hands to break up passes. During competition drills, Tawney showed he can cut down running alleys using good angles and corral RBs in open space. Kadyn had a great overall showing, starting with a solid testing portion in which he recorded a 9'6" broad jump, 4.6 shuttle drill, and a 4.94 40-yard dash. Kadyn is a versatile linebacker who can both plant and drive downhill or flip his hips and drop back into coverage. Wyland posted good numbers in the broad jump (8'6") and the shuttle drill (4.68). Greyson looked good as a downhill linebacker who can fill in gaps and sniff out runs. What stood out about Jacob's game is that he seems to move and play a lot quicker than what the testing numbers show. He does a good job reading and reacting to receivers and can step up nicely to fill in space in coverage.
