Film Friday: Five Next-Level Sleepers Flying Under the Radar

Cahill is a improvising gunslinger that transferred over to Meridian for his Junior season from Cole Valley Christian and is one of the top returning passers across Idaho heading into the 2026 season. He has a strong arm downfield, puts nice touch on the ball over the top with a tight spiral and zip on the ball and shows he can evade pressure and is not afraid to step up and take a shot to deliver it downfield. He also shows he can throw on the run with a few different arm angles and throws his guys open leading them away from defenders. He is a seemingly high IQ passer that moves quickly through his progressions and can deliver on time, while also not afraid to dump it off and does a nice job moving safeties/off corners with his eyes. He should draw plenty of next level attention this off-season and is poised for a big senior year for Meridian.     Solecki is one of the top offensive line prospects in the 2027 class across Idaho and should fit nicely on the interior with plus length for the inside and the ideal athletic ability and natural bend for the next level. He snaps out of his stance and gets immediate vertical push with a inside punch and consistent leg drive through contact. He shows finish ability at the first two levels, can scrape to the second or third level while taking the proper angles and pull across the line while offering good athleticism for the position. Solecki finishes blocks at the first two levels, shows body control and stying within his frame in his progressions and plays with violence at the POA. Look for plenty of D2/NAIA+ schools to come in and show interest this off-season.     The Rocky Mountain product is a versatile and explosive playmaker with return abilities and can play on the outside or in the slot. He's a natural route runner that can sink his hips and get in and out of his breaks quickly while having natural hands and good tracking/high-point abilities in traffic. He is an elusive runner with strong and consistent hands while extremely slippery with short area twitch and wiggle and has separation ability at the third level. Oelkers can effect the game on multiple levels and is one of the top players regardless of position in the 2028 class in Idaho and will be near the top of our 2028 rankings release. He ended his sophomore season with over 700 all-purpose yards and 5 touchdowns.     Hepburn is one of the better safety prospects returning next year and should draw no shortage of D3+ interest from multiple schools. He is a downhill and excellent open field tackler that can get into the backfield, takes the proper angles and brings a nice pop at contact when making tackles or taking on perimeter blockers. He moves efficiently sideline to sideline and can come up and set the edge while showing man coverage skills and fluid hips in transition with natural ball skills. He has good length and a big frame with plenty of room for growth and added mass and has plenty of untapped upside potential as either a safety or outside linebacker, depending on scheme. Also able to do damage on offense, he is a two-way guy that should breakout as a senior in 2026.     Froehlich is one of the better cover corners in the '27 class across Idaho, and has good size and length for the position at the next level. He is a twitchy and fluid athlete that is a natural peddler and smooth in transition when breaking to the ball and has PBU abilities, recovery speed and is always looking to force turnovers on the perimeter run game. He is not afraid to get into the mix near the LOS and is a efficient tackler on the perimeter or when setting the edge. Look for another big 2026 campaign from the Junior corner and for him to enter into our next '27 rankings update.
