Regional Week 4 Roundup: Five Must Know Performances

Week 4 brought another wave of standout performances from across the region and there were some video game type numbers being posted and noteworthy performances from across Idaho. Use promo code PaulG30 at checkout!   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    The CVC standout has been one of the top players across Idaho for the past couple years and is a plus athlete with tremendous size, length, range and natural play making abilities on either side of the ball. As a linebacker he is fluid, violent at the POA and can cover and bang int he box while showing sideline to sideline abilities as well. He has been off to a hot start to his final prep season and erupted for 150+ yards on the ground and 2 scores while doubling duties on defense and registered 8 tackles on the night while everywhere on the field through out the same. He is going to be a big time steal at the next level and currently holds one offer from Army. Look for him to be scooped up by the Big Sky when it's all said and done.     Bower is a prolific passer that checks all the boxes and is having a breakout sophomore season campaign for Boise. He is a precision passer with a live arm downfield, good spin and zip on the ball and shows touch over the top while able to throw across his body and while on the run from various arm angles. He has full command of this explosive offense and is a very high IQ passer for his age and is a household name we will be hearing about every week for the next 2.5 years. On Friday night he passed for a ridiculous 400+ yards and 4 touchdowns against Post Falls and should be atop the passing yard leaders by the seasons end and start drawing college attention this off-season.     Clay is one of the top players in Idaho regardless of class and has been for the past two years entering his Junior season. The 4-star prospect can make a impact in all three phases of the game and is a dangerous return man as well and creates big plays in open space with the ball in his hands and from the signal caller spot as well. Clay's versatility and ability to separate downfield, make throws vertically and buy time with his legs or on deigned runs with short area twitch and wiggle to make tacklers miss makes him impossible to take down in the open field. He erupted again this week and posted nearly 400 yards of total offense from the quarterback spot and scored 4 touchdowns on the evening. He is a national recruit with 11 offers and is a key name to watch this off-season on the commitment front of things as we move through the Spring.     The Montana State commit has been on a tear in his senior year for Fruitland and is one of the more prolific athletes the state has seen in recent years with plenty of exciting film to watch. He erupted again this week for nearly 400 yards of total offense and 5 scores on the night and has done plenty of damage with his arm and on the ground on designed runs and when buying time in the pocket and scrambling. Vidlak should fit the Bobcat offense perfectly in Bozeman and is a very nice get for the Cats and a guy that could see time early one his prep career comes to a close here.     Nelson has been one of the more violent and disruptive pass rushers across Idaho so far this year and is atop the sack leaderboards as we move into week 5 of the season. Nelson is a high motor kid that is always around the ball, can make plays backside and knifes into the backfield while heavy handed and stout against the run. He put up some big time numbers this Friday night and was all over the field registering 2 sacks and bringing his season total to now a impressive 7.5 sacks heading into the midpoint of the year.
