2029 Rankings Breakdown: Offensive Prospects to Know

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">As the 2029 class continues to take shape, new offensive playmakers are emerging across the state. This breakdown highlights a group of offensive prospects to know—athletes who may not sit at the very top of the rankings yet, but consistently show the production, traits, and upside to make a strong push as they continue to develop.</h2>    High-upside quarterback with good size and length at 6'2”, 175 lbs., offering a projectable frame with room to add strength. Shows clean, efficient footwork from drop-back to delivery and consistently stands tall in the pocket with good composure. Displays a quick, accelerated release that generates solid velocity, allowing him to drive the football and push it vertically. Comfortable throwing on the run, showing the ability to extend plays and deliver accurately outside the pocket. Like his quick processing ability to see coverage and be decisive with the football. Already holds an offer from Sacramento State, and his overall skill set points to continued upward development.      Pitts was extremely productive out of the slot for Pasadena as a freshman going for 806 yards and 9 touchdowns on 49 receptions. Great all around game speed with a combination of quick short area explosiveness and the long speed to be a vertical threat or take short passes for extended gains after the catch. Accelerates hard off the ball to close DB's cushion and then is able to separate by maintaining speed coming out of the break. Does a good job finding the soft spot in coverage and establishing himself as a target. Versatile route tree to attack the field at all three levels effectively.      Big-bodied offensive lineman with an imposing 6'5”, 320 lb. frame. Shows good natural strength and power, allowing him to create movement at the line of scrimmage in the run game. Displays active hand usage to engage, control, and sustain blocks through the whistle. Areas for continued development include pad level and leverage, as he can play tall at times and get into a high hat, limiting his power and balance. Still, he owns a strong foundational skill set with size, strength, and tools that provide a solid base to build on as he continues to develop.      Strong pocket passer with a solid, well-built 6'2”, 200 lb. frame. Displays smooth arm action and sound, repeatable mechanics from his footwork through release. Features a quick, compact, over-the-top delivery that allows him to get the ball out efficiently and on time. Shows good pocket presence and composure, remaining calm under pressure and delivering throws with consistency. Put together an excellent freshman season, throwing for 2,000 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 60% of his passes, highlighting both production and efficiency at an early stage. Already held an early offer from Sacramento State and recently added his first Power 4 offer from Kansas, signaling rising national interest and continued upward trajectory.      Well-rounded quarterback who excels as a pocket passer with the ability to improvise when plays break down. Shows comfort operating from the pocket with good footwork, balance, and timing, while keeping his eyes downfield. Displays functional athleticism, allowing him to extend plays, evade pressure, and make positive gains with his legs when needed. Maintains throwing mechanics outside the pocket and can deliver accurately on the move, adding another layer to his game. Demonstrates good awareness and feel for pressure, knowing when to stay patient in the pocket and when to escape. A reliable distributor with added mobility, he presents a balanced skill set and will be one to watch going forward. Threw for 2,053 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman completing 62% of his throws.      Estrada was the statewide rushing leader of the 2029 class finishing with 1,273 yards and 15 touchdowns in the 2025 season. Shows good vision and balance as a ball carrier, consistently identifying lanes and setting up blocks. Displays quick cut ability, allowing him to be elusive in tight spaces between the tackles in addition to the open field. Does a good job navigating traffic and locating open running lanes before accelerating. Runs with toughness and body control, absorbing contact well and breaking tackles at all three levels. Productive and instinctive runner with a complete skillset and strong foundation moving forward.
