Jones showed off his very good athletic ability throughout the event, especially during the individual drills and 7 on 7 portion of the event. Jones used his good release to beat the DB at the line of scrimmage. Very good separation quickness and clean cuts into his route. Very good catching and ball tracking skills. He'd jump up for the contested catch as well. Saunders came in 2nd amongst all players in the broad jump: jumping 9 ft 11 in. He did well during the testing, however he shined in the individual drills and 7 on 7. During the coaching, he remained attentive and listened. Implementing what was taught into the 7 on 7s. Saunders has smooth spiral with a quick release. He has very good ball placement skills and touch on his throws making it easier for the receiver to catch! He was ranked top 25 in each category. He ranked 3rd in the broad jump, and 3rd in the 40 yard time, 19th in L-drill, and 22 in the pro shuttle. Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, change of direction and speed! The L-drill and pro shuttle were both great examples of his very controlled body movement and balance. Great catching and release. Quick going into his breaks with no wasted movement. Leads all players in the 40 yard dash nationally. At the Colorado combine, he was ranked top 10 in every category. 1 in 40, 3 in broad jump, 4 in L-drill, and 8 in pro shuttle. He has elite athletic ability, and that was on full display. In the individual drills, he showed off his very quick feet and dominated. He's an elite runner but really showed out in the catching portion as a receiver. Releford has very good separation quickness, body control and adjustment. He contorted his body to make a contested sideline catch and came down with it. Great 40 yard time as well. Deater really shined in my eyes in the receiving portion. He looked like a polished tight end out there. Smooth route running, very good separation quickness. Deater used his lengthy arms to pluck the ball out of the air with ease. Very good catching and ball tracking skills. This two-way star for Montrose has all the tools to succeed as a tight end at the next level. Due to the Montrose running scheme, he doesn't have many options catching, but he shined at the combine.
