We just dropped our Top 50 of 2025 (Click the link for a detailed breakdown of the criteria), and we want to break down every player on that list. Earlier, we broke down the players at the end of the list. Here, we're looking at the guys ranked 31-40, a part of the list littered with some of the most heavily-recruited players in the state.

Top 50 of 2025: No. 31-40

40) [player_tooltip player_id='2060060' first='Travon' last='Usher'], QB/LB, Wilson Prep

Usher was on our shortlist of potential 1A Player of the Year Candidates in our season preview, but his role shifted in a way we didn't expect. A year after leading his conference in passing, he made more decisions in a run-heavy offense, putting up nearly 2,000 yards on the ground. He also doubled his tackle total and had a massive game defensively in the state championship.

39) [player_tooltip player_id='771231' first='Dallas' last='Brannon'], LB, Independence

A consistent stock-riser, the Virginia commit never wavered from his commitment throughout a huge senior campaign. He anchored a fantastic Independence defense from the middle against one of the toughest schedules in the state. If there was a big play, it was likely that Brannon was part of it.

38) [player_tooltip player_id='615340' first='Ekene' last='Ogboko'], OT, South Garner

Ogboko has been highly ranked for years, but his inexperience meant that the number next to his name was more of a projection of future potential, rather than a reflection of his current abilities. That changed as a senior as some of those flashes became consistent dominance. The Georgia commit excelled on defense as well, helping the Titans hold their own in a brutal conference.

37) [player_tooltip player_id='1165755' first='Keshawn' last='Stancil'], IDL, Clayton

Stancil made waves both on the field and as a recruit in 2025. On the field, he led the Comets in tackles from his defensive tackle position while flashing some dominant reps against high-level blockers, including a strong game against Grimsley's elite offensive line in the 7A State Championship. As a recruit, he flipped from Clemson to Miami, giving the Hurricanes their biggest win in the Tar Heel State in a long time.

36) [player_tooltip player_id='651173' first='Quinton' last='Cypher'], LB, Millbrook

Cypher took his game to another level as a junior, leading Millbrook's elite defense in tackles, interceptions, forced and recovered fumbles, and punt blocks. The high Power Four recruit will announce his commitment on Friday and will choose between four of the top teams in the country.

35) [player_tooltip player_id='1044292' first='Skylar' last='Alston'], LB, Cardinal Gibbons

One of the few sophomores on this list, Alston was the anchor of a strong Cardinal Gibbons defense, and the film is better than the stats suggest. He's one of the top players in the 2028 class, a guy who could challenge for the No. 1 overall spot in that class.

34) [player_tooltip player_id='820867' first='Jaylen' last='Moore'], RB, High Point Christian Academy

Moore quite literally lapped the NCISAA field, leading the association in rushing by over 1,100 yards and finishing with 40 touchdowns, 24 more than anyone else at that level. He helped lead HPCA to an undefeated season and state championship in dominant fashion, running for 366 yards and six touchdowns in the state championship game.

33) [player_tooltip player_id='1048930' first='Brody' last='Lowe'], QB, Grimsley

Lowe attempted just 14 passes in the playoffs as the backup quarterback for 7A Champion Grimsley, but was probably the team's most important player for the Whirlies throughout the season. When star Faizon Brandon went down with an injury early in the season, Lowe stepped in and threw for 23 touchdowns and just three interceptions, eclipsing 300 yards in a game three times, something that is weirdly rare for Whirlies' quarterbacks. He's a freshman; the next in line to sustain the dynasty.

32) [player_tooltip player_id='1704824' first='Jamauris' last='Howard'], LB, Hunt

Howard was everywhere defensively and on special teams for Hunt, coming up clutch in huge situations. His season included a two-touchdown game on offense in a close win against Croatan, a four-interception game with a kickoff return for a touchdown against Fike.

31) [player_tooltip player_id='1663952' first='Davis' last='Prichard'], Edge, Middle Creek

We saw Prichard at our Prep Redzone Showcase over the summer, about a week after he'd blown up on the recruiting trail and came away highly impressed, thinking he could have a big senior season. One of the best pure pass-rushers in the state, I was impressed with how he adapted against a series of run-heavy teams during a playoff run to the state title game.

We'll continue to have plenty of in-depth content on our top 50—why they're there and what you should know about them. Make sure to follow @PrepRedzoneNC for the latest on camp coverage, rankings updates, and more.
