The Prep Redzone WI Winter Showcase is in the books! It was another great platform for WI's best to have one more chance to show off their abilities, get coached up, and compete before the year ends. 150+ athletes took that opportunity and ran with it. When the time came, it was a hard decision crowning our Top Performers and narrowing it down to each position's MVP. The competition level was high, and it brought out the best of the athletes in attendance. In the end, aftertaking the combine, positional drills, and 1 on 1 battles into account, the coaching staff and myself came to the final decision for these 8 MVPs. Let's take a dive into each of their performances.

Still an underclassman, JJ is already building a strong resume. He holds multiple FBS offers and also holds multiple PRZ WI Showcase MVPs for his position. The 6'1" 195 lbs signal caller is a rare talent in Wisconsin. He is the most gifted and natural thrower of the football that I have seen. The sophomore showed prototypical mechanics from his footwork to his release. The ball jumps out of his hand with easy velocity. Velocity that he can keep on the ball while attacking even the deepest levels of the field. JJ has great accuracy and ball placement too. Whether it was 1 on 1s or positional drills where they were told where and how to place the ball, JJ delivered every single attempt. The sky is the limit for this 2028. He is primed for a huge offseason and starting it off really well.

Bryson is coming off a great season at Muskego where he was the team's leading rusher with 1,051 yards and 9 TDs. The 2028 RB carried that momentum into the offseason. Looking through my list of attendees pre-showcase Bryson was one of the kids I circled, and he proved that it was for good reason on Sunday. Bryson is extremely explosive. Whether it was 1 on 1 in space vs an LB or going through the L-Drill, Bryson plays with exceptional burst, acceleration, and balance. Watching his L-Drill it looked like his body was 6" from the ground the entire time. The rising 2028 knows how to turn that explosive, twitchy athleticism into elusiveness on the field too. He had LBs reaching for empty air on a few 1 on 1 reps, and his ability as a receiver was the finishing touch to an MVP performance. Bryson's skill set made him a dominant receiver vs LBs quickly getting open and making natural hands catches. Start to finish it was a great effort from Bryson.

Will Williams started the day off strong jumping 9' and 9'1" in the broad jump, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The '27 WR out of Whitnall proved that he is a weapon out wide. It quickly became clear that he is developing a strong base of explosive athleticism, body control and footwork that is making him a dangerous route runner. The junior WR was able to create separation consistently throughout 1 on 1s with that superior route running. The playmaker also showed off some really good ball skills, naturally plucking the ball out of the air and making some impressive concentration catches in traffic. There is a lot of turnover in the Whitnall offense. Look for Will to have a strong summer and end his HS career with a strong stat line. Get him on your radars.

Graham put together a great showing when we started the 1 on 1 battles. As soon as the competition turned up Graham really started to let his skills shine. He utilized that big, strong frame and powerful hands to box out defenders and muscle his way to the catch. The sophomore made some strong catches through contact too. Plus the big man showed off the ability to run fluid routes and that includes some reps that he won purely with how well he could get out of breaks. I'm intrigued by the underclassman and excited to see how his frame continues to grow and develop over the coming years. Whatever happens there, he proved that there is a reliable receiving threat to build upon going forward.

Peyton proved himself to be the best of the bunch at the OL position. The standout '27 OT has made strides since we last saw him at a PRZ WI Showcase. First of all, Peyton has the massive frame you look for and at 275 lbs it still looks like there is room to add and build onto that frame. The big man distanced himself further with the flexibility and mobility he plays with at that size. Peyton can really drop his pad level and sink his hips to win the leverage battle and stop bull rushes or win in the run game. Peyton's quick feet and reactive athleticism also shined during 1 on 1 battles, easily mirroring edge rushers and using that elite length to his advantage. The Waterford product is a name to know in this deep 2027 OL Class.

Another showcase in the books, another dominant performance from the Racine Case DL. London is a nightmare 1 on 1. That is true in shorts/shirts, at padded camps, and on Friday nights. The junior DL is extremely explosive off the ball and twitchy as a skill position athlete. London's lateral agility leaves OL punching at air because of how quickly he can cross the face or bend around an OT. Even if someone gets hands on him, London has a strong upper body that is able to quickly get himself clean. The 2027 has proven to be a matchup nightmare for a couple years now and it translated on the field this past season. I had high expectations for London coming in and he still impressed me with what he did.

I was pumped to see Elias on the roster for the Showcase heading into the day and the athletic, two-way athlete shined at the LB position. He started the day with a 9' broad jump during the combine, but his best came when we got to drills and 1 on 1s. Elias fits the mold of what is needed at the LB position. Someone who can be an enforcer with power and violence when tackling, but also someone who can play in space, sprint to the sideline, and corral agile and smaller athletes. Elias is able to do all that. He proved to be very light on his feet and plays with an explosive burst of acceleration that allowed him to run with, and recover while covering RBs. Reed was also disruptive at the catch point. It was a great day for the sophomore LB. He is a name to know in the Class of 2028.

The day was a massive win for senior CB Amillione "AJ" Johnson. The senior is coming off a strong season with several PBUs and INTs. It earned him an offer after the season from the D2 level, but he still wanted to come out and show what he can do. That was a smart decision as AJ dominated every part of the day. In the combine he hit 9'8" and 9'9" in the broad jump and ran a blazing 4.6 40. The senior CB is an explosive athlete and he proved that it carries over to the field. All day long he was living in the hip pocket of receivers. He was so quick to react to breaks that it looked like he knew half the routes he went up against. The senior did a fantastic job with his timing to break up passes too. Amillione was the toughest test of the day for the receiver position. His dominant day earned him another offer from Olivet, one of the coaching staffs in attendance. Johnson attacked this opportunity and made it a day well spent. Coaches, you need to get on this kid. Massive steal!
