New Jersey Stock Up Showcase: Running Back Notes

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A smaller, young back that I thought demonstrated good intangibles was [player_tooltip player_id='1968872' first='Braden' last='Raslowsky']. Raslowsky showed a good burst off of his first step and has he gained more traction. Another thing I thought that this 2029 prospect did well was making it a point to finish through his drills... Aaron Gonzales was a prospect that, for all intensive purposes, had a strong skillset and played with the subtleties that many coaches desire in a back. Gonzales prioritized ball security throughout all his reps, emphasizing how he received his hand offs and how he carried the rock. Further, he ran with a forward lean - indicating to me that he may have a tendency to fall forward when he rushes. Lastly, I thought he showed solid hips when rounding cones.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Although these next two prospects competed at running back, I feel as though their future might be at positions other than that. Both of these prospects have tremendous size. First, [player_tooltip player_id='2066099' first='Aahmil' last='Alghanee'] showed creativity when he ran the back. Give his size, I feel as though receiver/tight end/or linebacker might be in his future. Regardless of where he might end up, his feet and balance have opportunities to continue to improve... During cat-and-mouse drills between running backs and linebackers, [player_tooltip player_id='1515058' first='Justin' last='Bowen'] took reps at both positions. The results, in my professional opinion, where that Bowen's skillset might be better suited for linebacker play. Bowen used his large body to take the air out of any space between he and the ball carrier. His ability to close space made it difficult for rushers to squirm away from him.
