There are many young guys that have made great strides in their early careers, and I believe the list is quite lengthy. That's why I brought five guys to the table who are intested in the young backs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These five prospects are guys that I believe will level up in 2026, as these guys will not only have more of a role, but they will have the chance to be a top back in the area they reside in. He isn't an easy guy to bring down when it comes to the point of attack, but his success rate is mostly noticed when he is able to get through to the second level. He worked behind a senior running back, who had a solid senior season, but he is now expected to be on the move up the depth chart. His size allows him to be a true power back, but his faster than a typical power back. He is a hidden gem. He is someone who is above his age in the area that he is in, and is a true power back. With complete and total truth, he needed to be, as at times he was struggling to be able to make a cut because of his offensive line missing assignments. Although at other points in the season he was a true standout at the position, especially when the offensive line was at their best. He has a quick cut-and-go mindset, which was successful, and he has star potential in North Georgia. There are multiple times this season that he had to make as many as three cuts in the backfield and still made a play. He is slippery in the backfield, and is a guy that Etowah is at their best when he is at his best. He is a guy that I anticipate making headlines in his final season, which is what you want to hear if you are Etowah. They have a three-headed monster, and that includes this guy right here, whom I am very high on. He is someone who received reasonable reps, which will only grow in this next season under two of the state's best rushers. He is a quick running back who can get from point A to point B in an instant. He was quite the productive back, and is someone that will only grow as a player, especially if he grows his frame. Hammond is a high motor guy, and is someone that I believe could ramp up to a new tier if he continues to run under his pads and continue to improve his vision. He has a lot of heart and it shows, which leads me to believe that he has big things coming.
