Over the next several months, I'll be letting you know who some of the top returners on the offensive side of the football will be in the state of Maryland.

Today, I have four prospects on the offensive side of the football in Maryland's 4A/3A class that you need to know.

Check out Part 1 here.

Hambrick is a compact, physical all-purpose athlete who impacts the game on offense, defense, and special teams. Lined up at free safety, he shows good instincts and ball skills, highlighted by a deep interception returned for a pick-six. He reads the quarterback well, reacts quickly, and finishes plays once the ball is in his hands.

Offensively, Hambrick contributes in multiple roles. As a wide receiver, he adjusts well to scramble drills, working back to the football and securing catches through contact. As a running back, he runs with urgency and balance. I think Hambrick shows a strong initial burst and the ability to slip tackles in traffic. He's comfortable running between the tackles, cutting back when lanes close, and finishing near the goal line. Hambrick also adds value in the passing game out of the backfield. Hambrick's physical build allows him to absorb contact and keep moving forward.

Areas for growth include improving top-end speed and showing more consistency in man coverage on defense. Overall, Hambrick is a tough, dependable, all-purpose player. I'd like to see him continue to improve on his top-end speed.

Fauntleroy is an athlete who lines up at wide receiver and projects as a strong safety, bringing size, awareness, and playmaking ability. Offensively, he shows a strong feel for spacing and does a good job adjusting his routes when plays break down. Fauntleroy consistently works himself open on scramble drills, tracks the ball well downfield, and finishes through contact. There are a few highlights, including multiple touchdown catches, in which he adjusted to off-schedule throws.

With the ball in his hands, Fauntleroy is dangerous in space. He shows burst and balance on special teams. That's proven by a highlight showing him returning a punt for a touchdown. Fauntleroy hit the sideline, made defenders miss, and finished through traffic. He also sells routes and fakes well, creating separation on double moves and post routes. It's worth noting that Fauntelroy also shows comfort catching back-shoulder throws in stride.

Overall, Fauntleroy plays with confidence and awareness. Adding more reps that show physicality at the line of scrimmage and defensive snaps at safety would further highlight his versatility. There's no doubt that his size, instincts, and ability to adjust stand out. It'll be interesting to see where colleges see him playing at the next level.

Minor is a versatile, high-upside athlete who impacts the game on offense, defense, and special teams. At wide receiver, he shows strong ball skills and playmaking ability after the catch. Minor can turn short throws into explosive gains with balance, vision, and elusiveness. I was able to see a few things in his highlights. Minor sells routes well, creates separation with subtle movement, and finishes in the red zone on slants, fades, and double moves. Minor is especially dangerous once the ball is in his hands.

On special teams, Minor is a threat as a returner. There's a return touchdown on his highlights where he shows burst and acceleration as he weaves through traffic.

Defensively, Minor lines up at free safety and flashes range, awareness, and closing speed. He tracks the ball well in the air, breaks on throws quickly, and makes plays on the football. A few of his highlights include interceptions and pass breakups in the end zone. Minor's size allows him to cover ground and compete at the catch point.

To continue developing, Minor would benefit from showing more route polish at the receiver. Adding more open-field tackling clips on defense would help complete his evaluation. Overall, Minor is a true multi-phase athlete with size, ball skills, and versatility, capable of impacting the game in several ways. His highest upside at the next level may be at the safety position.

Schurrr is a quarterback who plays with confidence, quickness, and good instincts. He's effective in the run game, showing burst and vision on designed keepers. Schurr's highlights show him slipping through tight lanes and finishing runs in the red zone. Schurr is comfortable pulling the ball on fakes and attacking open space when defenses overcommit.

As a passer, Schurr shows solid timing and touch. He delivers accurate short throws, hits outs on rhythm, and isn't afraid to take chances downfield. There are a couple of plays that show him trusting his receivers on 50-50 balls. Schurr uses pump fakes well to move defenders and create vertical shots.

When pressure shows up, he stays composed. Schurr escapes cleanly, avoids sacks in tight areas like the end zone, and makes smart decisions by extending plays without forcing throws. Overall, Schurr is a poised, mobile quarterback who manages the offense well, mixes in timely runs, and shows good feel for both rhythm passing and play extension.

Most likely, he won't play quarterback at the next level, so I would just advise him to keep working on improving his accuracy. The athleticism (speed, quickness, elusiveness) is already there.

Over the next several months, I'll be letting you know who some of the top returners on the offensive side of the football will be in the state of Maryland.
