A prospect on the rise as he continues to develop his game, Ronte has put together a strong camp season so far. With stops at Morgan St, Howard, Liberty and Towson, Shephard coming up. A multi-sport athlete (basketball & track) with excellent length reporting a 82″ WS and high potential athleticism. Ronte is showing nice improvement in his route running skills at the recent camps, helping vault him as a prospect. He displays strong hands with a a big catch radius. Already holding offers from Howard & Morgan State, don’t be shocked if after this summer camp season ends Ronte hasn’t picked up a few more FBS/FCS offers.

Fauntleroy is an athlete who lines up at wide receiver and projects as a strong safety, bringing size, awareness, and playmaking ability. Offensively, he shows a strong feel for spacing and does a good job adjusting his routes when plays break down. Fauntleroy consistently works himself open on scramble drills, tracks the ball well downfield, and finishes through contact. There are a few highlights, including multiple touchdown catches, in which he adjusted to off-schedule throws.

With the ball in his hands, Fauntleroy is dangerous in space. He shows burst and balance on special teams. That’s proven by a highlight showing him returning a punt for a touchdown. Fauntleroy hit the sideline, made defenders miss, and finished through traffic. He also sells routes and fakes well, creating separation on double moves and post routes. It’s worth noting that Fauntelroy also shows comfort catching back-shoulder throws in stride.

Overall, Fauntleroy plays with confidence and awareness. Adding more reps that show physicality at the line of scrimmage and defensive snaps at safety would further highlight his versatility. There’s no doubt that his size, instincts, and ability to adjust stand out. It’ll be interesting to see where colleges see him playing at the next level. 

Ronte is a WR with a ton of upside and could be poised for a breakout junior season. He comes in just outside the top 150 and is a top 20 WR with plenty of room to move up in future rankings as he continues to develop his game.

With a tall long frame, Ronte has a reported 80″ Wingspan and showcases a big catch radius. He’s got strong hands, able to snatch the ball out of the air and go get it away from his body. For a tall WR, he can snap off the top of his route very well. Able to drop his weight and make crisp cuts/ start & stop moves to create good separation. He makes for a good deep vertical threat as well with his long stride and leaping ability. Ronte is a solid overall athlete too, being a multi-sport basketball player and runner in track. Ronte also plays some S on defense as well, and depending on how big he fills out could even develop into a flex TE option. Ronte has tons of potential and is a name to make sure you know of headed into this fall.
