About Ja’Meire
Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Macklin’s midseason highlights cover his first three games (he completed 39-of-76 passes for 368 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions). In the past four games, he’s completed 32-of-58 passes for 608 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. Many of his early-season throws were short, with a few intermediate passes mixed in. Macklin does have throws that show the arm strength to stretch the field and produce big downfield plays. Would like to see him clean up on the turnovers. Has faced tough opponents within the past several weeks. Team is currently 3-4.

Ja’Meire is a dual threat QB who was out there making plays with his legs & arm in Frederick’s game last week. On the Cadets first possession of the game he took a QB keep 60 yds down the sideline for a TD out running the Smyrna defense. He is a long strider who is always a threat to break out of the pocket and gain big yardage. As a thrower Ja’Meire gets good zip on his passes and and over the top motion that should develop nicely. He is a tall, long, lean athlete who I think is still growing into his body so the arm strength & mechanics will develop as he does. With his size and dynamic ability as a DT-QB Ja’Meire is one to watch for the future.
