5A and 6A Standouts in GHSA State Championship Games

Christian "Deuce" Lawrence was one special talent all season long, but he broke the rushing record in the state title game going for 380 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns adding 20 yards receiving giving him a 400 total yard performance on the night. Johnson had an incredible performance as well in the state title win which was his second one in his four years at Thomas County Central. Wood finished the game with 98 rushing yards on 22 carries and 1 TD. Green didn't just do it through the ground but on defense as well having 5 total tackles and four of those being solo tackles.
