The Wake Forrest signee was clearly the talk of the GHSA State title games and rightfully so! Christian "Deuce" Lawrence was one special talent all season long, but he broke the rushing record in the state title game going for 380 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns adding 20 yards receiving giving him a 400 total yard performance on the night. Lawrence had a night to remember, and he will take those exceptional talents to Wake Forrest next season.

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='2003933' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] has been one of the most underrated quarterbacks in all of the Peach State for his four years but what he has done hasn't gone unnoticed. Johnson had an incredible performance as well in the state title win which was his second one in his four years at Thomas County Central. Johnson had a four-touchdown performance with 165 through the air with 2 TDs and 75 rushing with 2 TDs and was unstoppable through the air and on the ground during their title win.

The four-star Georgia commit [player_tooltip player_id='283918' first='Tyriq' last='Green'] absolutely displayed dominance in his state title win just as he did all season long with a 185-rushing yard performance with just 11 carries and tacked on two touchdowns on the ground. Green didn't just do it through the ground but on defense as well having 5 total tackles and four of those being solo tackles. He was a big part in the now State and National Champions of Buford!
