Nix is a dual-thread big-bodied QB who put his team on his back Friday. He's got a big arm that can make all the throws, but then he's a better athlete than people anticipate, and he chews them up on the ground. He was in total command of the offense Friday and came through in the 57-56 shootout. Nix went 14 of 20 for 272 yards and 4 TDs and then added another 168 yards and 4 TDs on the ground. He was a part of all 8 TDs the Eagles scored as they got the win and will move on.

Craig and the Bulldogs found themselves in a tight game against Eastern Hancock, but Craig was able to do just enough to help them pull through. The running game was not working or really available for Lapel, so it was all up to Craig. He threw the ball 56 times on the night. He completed 30 of those passes for 300 yards and 4 TDs. It's not often that you have to rely on your QB as much as Lapel did on Friday, but Craig came through. He's never been one to get rattled, and when the noise is the loudest, he seems to be at his best.

Lange has been a good piece for Center Grove this year and arguably just had his best game of the year when they needed it most. He's incredibly explosive and has some of the best acceleration in the class. His feet are quick and they can follow his eyes. If he even gets the slightest crease, he can take it to the house. He only needed 12 carries on Friday to get 189 yards and score 3 TDs. It felt like there was a different sense of urgency from Lange on Friday, and the Trojans really benefited from him taking over.

Palmer is a 2-way workhorse for Whiteland, who had a massive game on the offensive side of the ball. He's a bigger back who can plow through the line and drag defenders. He's hard to bring down and has a good center of gravity while understanding how to get low. He's got better speed than defenses anticipate as well,l and can get the corner, which is where he ripped off multiple big runs on Friday. The Warriors are 9-2, and being able to use the legs of Palmer is a big reason why. He ran for 241 yards and 4 TDs on Friday while averaging just over 12 ypc.

Davis is someone I've seen at camps each of the past few summers, and he's put it all together this year for Martinsville. He's poised, doesn't get rattled, and can see the entire field. He's got a good arm that can make all the throws. He's able to put touch on it down the field and put it over the defender's shoulder. He typically doesn't put the ball in harm's way, and Friday was no different. He knows his offense, where the ball needs to go, and gets it there on time. He went 16 of 24 for 307 yards and threw 3 TDs on the night as they got the win over Charlestown.
