#5 Niagara Falls @ #4 Lancaster

This was a hard fought battle between two quality teams. Lancaster started the scoring with a 12-yard TD run by [player_tooltip player_id='1595095' first='Danny' last='Ahearn'] but Niagara Falls bounced back with a huge 92-yard TD pass from [player_tooltip player_id='1344791' first='Michael' last='Taylor'] to [player_tooltip player_id='1344450' first='Darryl' last='Smith']. Taylor and Smith would connect on another score later in the game. Taylor finished with 290 yards in the air while Smith was the main benefactor with 5 receptions for 150 yards and scored both of the Wolverines TDs. Lancaster's defense, led by DE Tim Kopacz and his 4 QB sacks, would be too much to overcome as Lancaster won 20-14. The Legends will take on the #1 seed Bennett Tigers on Friday 11/7 at 7pm at All High Stadium.

Player of the Game

Ahearn was a one man wrecking machine, racking up 159 yards from scrimmage and two rushing TDs before exiting the game in the third quarter when taking a nasty hit to the head. Once he left the game, the Legends offense became stagnant. Hopefully, he will be healthy in time to take on Bennett in the semi-finals next week.

#6 Lockport @ #3 Jamestown

This wasn't much of a contest as Jamestown ran right through Lockport 56-0. QB [player_tooltip player_id='1454294' first='Jackson' last='Grey'] went a perfect 4/4 for 137 yards and 2 TDs (both to Jada Foreman). Defensively, Jericho Thagard and Alaric Richards each had 2 INTs. The Red & Green will head to Orchard Park to play the Quakers on Friday 11/7 at 7pm.

Player of the Game

Bonta is still considered to be a Connolly Cup favorite although his statistical output is down from a year ago. That hasn't stopped him from being the focal point of the Jamestown program. Chase ran for 160 yards against the Lions and reached the endzone 3 times. All the while, leading the team in tackles with 15 tackles and adding a forced fumble.

#7 Hutch Tech @ #2 Orchard Park

This game was a complete route as Orchard Park advances to the semi finals with their 42-0 win over the Engineers. This was a dominant defensive performance as the Quakers recorded 4 sacks from players [player_tooltip player_id='1715286' first='Hayden' last='Fox'], [player_tooltip player_id='1263294' first='John' last='Meka Jr'] & newly transferred DT, [player_tooltip player_id='1231223' first='Denzel' last='Cenatus']. Offensively, [player_tooltip player_id='1814202' first='Zack' last='Danna'] led their squad with 5 receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Orchard Park will host Jamestown at 7 pm on Friday 11/7.

Player of the Game

Hassett was the long awaited heir apparent as the Quakers signal caller and in this contest, he had his biggest game to date. Jayden completed 10 of his 17 attempts for 242 yards and 3 TDs.
