John Meka Jr John Meka Jr 6'6" | 235 lbs | EDGE/OL Orchard Park | 2027 State NY , stands at 6’6″ 235-Pounds, displaying an elite frame, and tremendous length at the EDGE position. Adding weight could even see him play as an Offensive Lineman. He slides up eight slots to 46th in the Re-Rank, and showcases some elite level skills for a prospect. He holds one offer from Ithaca, but I can see more roll in shortly for the big time EDGE Rusher. You can’t teach his size and his awareness is outstanding. He is an excellent tracker, watching the QB through reps, and using a good tool bag of moves and hand placement to reach the backfield. For a guy of his size he can bend well, and uses good speed and leverage to reach the backfield. Meka Jr is a name who has blow up potential this season for Orchard Park.

You cannot teach size and at 6’6 235 lbs., Meka has all the measurables to be a premier EDGE rusher in Section VI. He is big and powerful but also has the awareness to attack the QB or stuff the run. His crash/surf technique is outstanding.

Meka is a big bodied, playmaking EDGE rusher. He recorded 12.5 sacks 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries in his breakout junior year. He is listed at 6’6 – a lean 225 lbs and he hits with power.

Meka Jr is an elite EDGE rusher, who can effect the game in multiple aspects on the Defensive Line. The Orchard Park prospect, displays a good first step, and an elite tool bag of moves which he can utilize to reach the backfield. Meka Jr is a very underrated playmaker from Western New York.

You can’t miss Meka on film standing at 6’6 225 lbs. He has long arms and quick on his feet. John led the Quakers in QB sacks with 12 to go along with 14 TFLs and 2 fumble recoveries, returning 1 for a TD. He is a player that will not be overlooked in 2026.

Meka Jr has good body control, along with great hands. He understands leverage and uses it at the POA. He showcased reps at Tackle, but TE might be a position the Orchard Park prospect can thrive at given his frame. He has good pass rushing moves and can reach the backfield and cause disruption with ease.

He is one of the top defensive players in WNY and certainly poised to have a monster season in Section Six this year. Not to mention he is only a Junior.

Meka has a monster frame and is incredibly agile for a player that size. Defensively, he is a menace as a DE with long arms and hits with tenacity. Offensively, he played some LT last season with great success but i can see a future for him as a TE.

Physical force coming off the edge, standing at 6’6” and weighing 240 pounds! He loves to set the edge and stop the run for his defense. The pure strength and pursuit at the POA were huge points of emphasis when watching Meka Jr. operate on the defensive line. In short, this is a DE that is not afraid to get aggressive and attack after the ball carrier. Whenever he comes off the line, he does a great job of using his hands to his advantage to separate off his block to make a tackle.
