Orchard Park had a lot of turnover personnel wise this past season but they showed some promising young talent. Wright leads that charge on the defensive side of the ball. Matthew controlled the middle of the defense with good range and excellent intuition. He led the Quakers with 128 tackles as a junior.

The Orchard Park prospect is one of the top players in Section Six. His blend of IQ and tackling make him a threat as he enters his Junior Season.

Wright racked up 64 tackles and 3 sacks as a sophomore. He is a versatile LB that can play inside with sideline to sideline speed or can be outside and rush the passer. He sheds blocks well and has excellent instincts. I think Matthew will be the Quakers defensive leader in 2025.

An OLB that is not afraid to move around the field pre-snap and post snap to make a significant impact on the opposition. A clear sideline-to-sideline ability is present on tape. Forthwith, Wright is a LB that can rush the passer and play out on the edge with his hand in the dirt to stop the run. Coupled with his football intelligence, Wright will read, and attack plays with patience to cause havoc behind the LOS. Many times, he was seen sniffing out read option plays and making secured TFLs.
