A junior corner for Ankeny Centennial, Nolan Bennett made a key stop for the Jaguars late in the first half, halting a drive that had some momentum for Johnston.

On a wheel route up the sideline, Bennett tracked [player_tooltip player_id='1198833' first='Bryce' last='Beachem'] -- who we highlighted in the Johnston Scouting Report as one of the big playmakers of the night for the Dragons -- stayed on his hip, and swatted away one of just two [player_tooltip player_id='1221251' first='Trevin' last='Helming'] incompletions on the night. He finished the evening with five tackles for the Jaguars.

One of the Centennial offensive lineman that created push from start to finish up front, [player_tooltip player_id='533048' first='Braylin' last='Dieken-Keahey'] showed off technique and conditioning for the Jaguars on Friday night.

A big OL, standing at 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, Dieken-Keahey showed excellent pad level, getting up and under the pads of defenders and driving them back multiple yards in the run game. A stout pass-blocker, Dieken-Keahey filled his role as a senior, captain offensive lineman and helped lead the way offensively for Centennial.

Just a sophomore and in his first year starting under center for the Jaguars, [player_tooltip player_id='1588740' first='Brekken' last='Miller'] was pressured quite a bit in the first half and made some errant throws, but he settled in over the final 24 minutes, leading his team to a couple scores.

Quite composed in just his second year of varsity ball, Miller has some of the physical tools required to be a solid passer, and he found ways to escape the pocket and bide time despite being under pressure for a good portion of the night. Finishing the night 9-of-16 (56.2%) for 95 yards two touchdowns and an interception, Miller wasn't perfect, but he showed flashes of what he could be in the future for Centennial.

The main offensive weapons for the Jaguars throughout the season, [player_tooltip player_id='401673' first='Javaris' last='Morgan'] carried that reputation and much of the offensive load on Friday night. A back with burs and strength to break through the first two levels of the defense and create explosive plays, Morgan was one of the more talented and productive backs in all of 5A this season.

Showing it on several plays despite Centennial's first-half offensive struggles, Morgan was able to get some things going, putting together a carry of 50+ yards and punching it into the endzone for the first score of the night for the Jaguars. Morgan finished his career at Centennial with 17 carries for 174 yards and two scores.

I'll say it -- I'm a sucker for anyone on the gridiron playing fast and hard with a club on their wrist. Nothing screams "I'm a tough S.O.B." quite like that, in my mind's eye.

[player_tooltip player_id='1221965' first='Nash' last='Targgart'], a captain that understood his role, much like Dieken-Keahey, served in the middle of the Jaguar defense for the majority of this season, racking up tackles and leading the way as the quarterback of the defense. A long LB that keeps his eyes on the ball carrier and fights through traffic to make the tackle, Targgart has the film of a football junkie, and the physical tools to work with and develop into a solid linebacker at the collegiate level.
