After an exciting opening round of postseason play, Bradley Central rolled into Ray Hughes Stadium for a second-round matchup against No. 2 Oakland.

The Bears competed hard against the defending state champions, but a couple of disastrous mistakes cost them badly. OHS took advantage of those mistakes by scoring touchdowns, slowly turning the contest sideways.

Their stifling defense and potent rushing attack allowed them to splatter Bradley Central 35-10 and advance to the Patriots' 13th consecutive trip to the quarterfinals.

https://twitter.com/connersmith04/status/1989529186046734353?s=20

Oakland quickly got on the scoreboard after receiving the opening kickoff. They marched down the field in under three minutes, and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='856867' first='Craig' last='Tutt'] finished off the drive with a three-yard rushing score to put his team up 7-0.

They tacked on another touchdown six minutes later when Kamani Bass, part of the three-headed monster tailback trio, burst up the middle of the defense for a 48-yard score.

Bradley Central answered with a methodical drive themselves, moving the ball deep into Patriot territory. Just when it looked like they would get on the scoreboard, [player_tooltip player_id='1281472' first='Joel' last='Wyatt'] made sure that didn't happen.

The senior safety intercepted a pass and took it back to midfield, sending his team's sideline crazy.

When you make mistakes, Oakland makes you pay for them. [player_tooltip player_id='1603958' first='Justis' last='Haggard'] made sure of that, muscling into the end zone from eight yards out.

The Bears finally got on the board late in the first half with a field goal, cutting the lead to 21-3. However, that's when the Patriots put the nail in the coffin.

[player_tooltip player_id='424644' first='Kam' last='Morton'] marched his team down the field, finishing the drive with an elusive touchdown run with just seconds left to go up 28-3 heading into halftime.

Both sides traded touchdowns in the second half, but that was all the offense they produced.

While Bradley Central fought hard, it wasn't enough for the mighty Oakland Patriots, who dominated the away team 35-10.

Player of the Game

Bass had a massive game for the Patriots in their 35-10 victory over the Bears. The junior running back had over 100 yards rushing, including a 48-yard touchdown run that flipped the momentum of the game in the first quarter.

He also had a few vital catches that extended drives, leading to scores. Bass is undersized, but there is no doubt whatsoever that he can ball.

The 5-foot-9 RB has elite speed, great burst, plenty of athleticism and good vision. He's sharing carries with two other backs, but he's due for a breakout season next year.

Other Notable Players

2026 WR [player_tooltip player_id='820949' first='Brayden' last='Carroll'] – Bradley Central

It was a rough game for the Bradley Central offense, but [player_tooltip player_id='820949' first='Brayden' last='Carroll'] was one of the lone bright spots. The underrated senior wide receiver had over 75 yards and a touchdown to give the Bears life late in the game.

He's currently uncommitted, but Carroll is one of, if not the best, uncommitted seniors in Tennessee. The WR is an extremely twitchy and shifty player, causing a plethora of defenders to miss him on every play.

Carroll also impresses with his swift route-running, as well as his high fluidity when cutting or changing direction.

2029 QB [player_tooltip player_id='424644' first='Kam' last='Morton'] – Oakland

Morton continues to turn heads in his freshman season with the Oakland Patriots as an impressive dual-threat quarterback. He had a clutch touchdown run with just seconds remaining in the first half, along with a few other big runs to move the chains.

The 2029 QB made multiple outstanding throws with his accuracy, ability to layer passes and work all parts of the field.

Photo: Oakland RB [player_tooltip player_id='1603958' first='Justis' last='Haggard']. He's effective in man and zone coverage, while showcasing great football instincts.

This Oakland front seven gets a lot of credit, deservingly so, but the secondary is truly elite.

Gainor is a standout corner who has helped make this defense what it is this season.

After an exciting opening round of postseason play, Bradley Central rolled into Ray Hughes Stadium for a second-round matchup against No. 2 Oakland.
