Jobe was heavily called on Friday as Warren Central was committed to shutting down Frye and the passing game. While that worked to a degree, they struggled with Jobe. He's a physical runner who is hard to bring down. He plays with power and a good center of gravity. His 24 carries for 133 yards and 2 TDs led the way for the Bulldogs and helped pave their path to state.

Jordan and the Merrillville rushing attack is as hard to stop as any running game in the state. They had 2 backs over 150 yards. Johnson was over 200 on 22 carries, but Jordan had 12 carries for 178 yards and 1 TD. He averaged just under 15 yards per carry on the night and has a different gear and element to his game.

King and the running game were needed on Friday as Carroll had the passing game on lock. King can run between the tackles and churn out the hard yardage. He's got powerful legs and can drive through contact. He carried the ball 25 times for 136 yards and scored 4 TDs on the night. The game was tight through 3 quarters, and Carroll had the lead through half the game. It was the second half where King caught fire and scored 3 TDs and helped pull away from the Chargers.

Epperson and Luers heard a lot of talk about the talent on the other side of the field, but they showed up and played their best game of the year, and Epperson led the way offensively. He's a shifty back who has a good feel in the hole and knows how to find the gap. He carried the ball 21 times for 177 yards and scored 3 TDs as the Luers won in a 35-0 shutout.
