The 5-foot-8, 180-pound tailback for defending state champion Bishop Luers has a big ceiling with his vision, patience to follow blocks, change-of-direction, and breakaway speed. Epperson was one of several recruits who picked up an offer from Miami-Ohio at their underclassmen camp last week.

He is a legitimate home-run threat with the ball in his hands, he displays good vision and quickness to the hole, and can be very elusive beyond the second level. Epperson flashed plenty of potential at Lucas Oil Stadium when I saw him in-person. State champion as a sophomore with immense upside, could be the top running back in 2028 class.

Epperson and Luers heard a lot of talk about the talent on the other side of the field, but they showed up and played their best game of the year, and Epperson led the way offensively. He’s a shifty back who has a good feel in the hole and knows how to find the gap. He carried the ball 21 times for 177 yards and scored 3 TDs as the Luers won in a 35-0 shutout.
