The Georgia high school scene is getting better and better, but that is thanks to the tough division play even in the middle pack. One of the divisions that has gotten better is the 4A division who have a lot of stars still left in the playoffs. Here are 8 players that I am watching to help contribute in a major way in this round of the playoffs.

Benson is a big-play quarterback in his senior season, who has a lot of key traits. He is someone who can float a ball over the defensive backs in a fluid motion. He has shown that he can generate enough power on a simple step back that he has an arm that can change the outcome of a game. He has some solid accuracy around him. His best trait, in my book, is his execution. He goes out there and executes the way that his coaches want him to. Benson is a bit undersized, which has been his biggest issue, but he is someone who makes the most of what he can control, which is exactly why he is inside the top 30 (state) in passing yards at this moment. Would like to see him continue to take steps forward with his mobility and pocket awareness. He is a guy who will absolutely get better over time.

Jackson is nothing short of a reliable linebacker. He brings effort, but more importantly, he brings the boom. He is a solid linebacker who isn't shy of contact, especially behind the line. He finished last week alone with four tackles for a loss, but his ability to fill a gap puts him in the right position at the right time. His initial fire off the snap is huge as well, as he is setting himself in a great position, which makes him a reliable tackler in the run game. I do believe he has made strides in the weight room, just based on his strength. He also has solid finesse to get off the line of scrimmage and away from blockers when he cheats up to the line, which often provides a disadvantage. Has solid speed, and I would love to see some steps forward in the pass coverage aspect, but he is everything you could want from a run-stuffing backer.

Walton is one of the better players in the state when it comes to running the football. He has become a quick cutting issue for other defenses, as he is quick in general. However, the Notre Dame commit has really shown his lower body strength to push through defenders, which showed in his game against Cambridge. Walton has great mental decisions when running the ball, as he makes a decision on where he is going before he gets the ball. The best part about his game is whatever he does he does it at 100%. He runs at 100%, he hits the hole at 100%, and he shows up at 100%. Walton is dangerous and is arguably the best 2026 back in the state. Him and [player_tooltip player_id='910346' first='Amari' last='Latimer'] really set the bar high in their final season.

Frazier is a star, and it has really showed through his time this season. He is not the frame that you would like, but his explosiveness allows him to be a dangerous player wherever he plays. He is commited to Notre Dame, and he will be a guy that could really be used in the return game just based on his joystick like cutting, and his ability to turn nothing into something. I am a huge fan of his attributes and what he has to offer. Benedictine is at their best when he is on the field and when he is at his best. They rely on Frazier heavily, and he is a star of this class.

Combay is a guy that continues to show up for the Kell Longhorns. He is on his way to the Tennessee Volunteers, and that is thanks to his ability to play both safety and cornerback at a very high level. He has center fielder like tracking, which is what you want as a safety. If you have a guy that can show patience and still come away with the ball at the third level then you know he is a great player. He is a solid open field tackler, and his patience aligns in that aspect as well. Even if he makes an incorrect step his make-up is great. He is reliable, and won't get burned deep too often, as he is best when playing overtop coverage in zone.

A freshman who has gotten better and better. He is a great defender, and is someone who can continuously play at a high level, but has some great offensive traits as well. Davenport is someone that can be relied on when given the chance, and he is someone that can be a game changer. His futire is bright, but when you have a guy like him who can be good in the present as a freshmen then you know he has to be a star. Davenport plays with a lot of finesse, and is quick as is. If he continues to get stronger he will be a very dangerous player.

Faulkner is fluid with his throw on the run ability. He has become a dangerous dual threat that gives any defense a headache to try to stop. He is one of the players that anyone would have to scheme against because of that as well. One of the better deep ball receivers in the state, as his deep ball is thrown with a lot of confidence, which adds a different type of swagger to the position. He is very dangerous in multiple places of his game, and if his pocket awarness is improved you have a case that he is at the top of many lists in the state of Georgia.

Rice is one of the better players in the 2026 class that has been committed to what many would consider a smaller school. Rice is a ball hawk with a lot of length to go with his healthy dose of dominance. Rice has the chance to become an even better player at the next level. He fires off the ball like he was shot out of a cannon, and that alone is one of the better traits he brings to the table. Rice has the chance to be a game changer.
