There is no running back that I would personally take over Latimer in the state of Georgia. He is a back that is among the best, with a huge frame that is paired with great decision-making. Latimer has quickly become a power back and a problem for those who try to stop him. He will be on his way to the West Virginia Mountaineers, and with that being said, they are getting someone who can have an immediate impact. If you need a guy to hit the whole and do it at 100% then Latimer is your guy. He is a pure bruiser, but don’t sleep on the acceleration that comes with it.

is nothing short of being called a “freak athlete”. Many schools want him for a reason, and he is someone who will do good no matter the coverage you have. It isn’t about stopping him, it’s entirely about limiting him, because there’s no such thing as stopping Latimer. One of my favorite backs in the nation and in the state. If he is on fire, then it might be a very long night for Douglass.

Latimer caught our eye his Sophomore season by having 885 yards rushing with 11 points after week 5. I thought then he was a sure fire P5 prospect and the 4-Star RB/LB recently committed to the University of Wisconsin. Very athletic multisport player that has amassed 4 State Title so far in a combination of football and basketball.
What Stands Out: His agility for his size. Easily 210 now, some reports have him closer to the 225 range. He still moves in and out of defenders like he did as a 185 sophomore. Great hands out of the backfield and is a load for the defensive secondary to bring down
Outlook: He will have a big Senior season, possibly adding that 5th State Title to his trophy case.

is special, turn the film on and you’ll see exactly what the hype is about. His highlights showcase his explosiveness, elite footwork, and ability to make defenders miss in the open field, but live action reveals just how dominant he truly is. He runs with a rare combination of power and finesse, slipping through tackles and turning small gains into huge plays. His ability to shift gears instantly makes him a nightmare for defenses, and once he hits the open field, there’s no catching him. With over 30 Division I offers now in hand, it’s clear that college programs recognize his game-changing ability.
What stood out the most in person was his field awareness and natural playmaking instinct. He doesn’t just rely on his speed—he sets up defenders, waits for blocks to develop, and knows exactly when to burst through the hole. He’s just as dangerous catching passes out of the backfield, adding versatility that makes him a complete offensive weapon. His balance through contact is next level, allowing him to absorb hits and keep moving forward. Everything that makes him special on film was on full display in person, proving that he’s every bit as good as advertised. With the way he dominates on the field, it’s no wonder top programs are lining up to secure his commitment.

At 6’0″, Amari is an absolute force on the field—an elite athlete who combines size, speed, and skill in a way few can match. Defenders hate to see him coming, as he can bulldoze through tackles with his power or evade them entirely with his quickness and agility. His ability to change direction on a dime and explode through holes makes him nearly impossible to contain, while his vision and football IQ allow him to find the best path forward in any situation. Whether running over defenders or leaving them in the dust, he’s a true game-changer.
This standout player has caught the attention of college programs across the country, earning over 40 Division I offers. His exceptional talent has made him the most sought-after running back in the state, with scouts eager to see what he’ll do next. Each game he plays, he only strengthens his case as one of the best in the country, showcasing his rare blend of power and finesse that makes him a threat to score anytime he touches the ball.
As his recruitment continues to heat up and his final high school season approaches, there’s no doubt that this 6’0″ running back is poised for greatness. With his combination of strength, speed, and elite skill, he’s ready to make a massive impact at the next level. For defenders and college recruiters alike, it’s clear that he’s one of the most exciting athletes to watch in high school football today.

One of the very best running backs across the South for the 2016 class, Latimer has an outstanding combination of size, quickness, toughness, and natural big-play ability. He’s agile and has enough speed to score whenever he has the ball, but he’s not afraid of contact. He runs hard, runs with authority, and consistently breaks tackles for four quarters. He’s tough to tackle and is having a tremendous junior season, rushing for 1,083 yards and 15 touchdowns so far. He’s averaging 8.5 yards per carry and hit the 100-yard mark in six of his nine games. He’s one of the best backs in Georgia and will try to run through Lagrange this weekend in the second round.

ranks as one of the premier 2026 RBs in Georgia according to our rankings. He has shown tremendous growth since his productive freshman season and has developed into a physical specimen. He possesses a stout, strong 6’0 200 frame and is still filling out. With his size, vision, and acceleration, he reminds me of Kerryon Johnson. You are going to continue hearing his name, and for good reason. He already holds several P5 offers and I expect that list to grow even more this offseason.
