We'll break down every quarterfinal match-up over the next few days. Continuing right now with Class 6A-2. We'll have a break down on each match-up, along with a more in-depth look at the marquee match-up of the week. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more quarterfinal previews!

#4 CHOCTAW (7-4) AT #7 SAPULPA (7-3)

Defending champion Choctaw is headed to the east side of the state to square off with Sapulpa. The Yellowjackets took care of business in the first round and they are still one of the top teams in this class. They'll face a Sapulpa team that earned a first round bye. These two met in the quarterfinal round a year ago. The Yellowjackets were absolutely dominant in that meeting, on their way to a state title. Sapulpa is one win away from making some history. The Chieftains have never made it to the semifinal round and if they can knock off the defending champs, they'll find themselves practicing on Thanksgiving, getting ready for a semifinal clash. The Chieftains will look to make the most of that week off after falling in a tough week ten rivalry game with Sand Springs.

#8 MUSKOGEE (6-5) AT #3 PUTNAM CITY (8-2)

#3 Putnam City will host #8 Muskogee on Friday night and on paper, this looks like it could be a one-sided affair. Putnam City has been outstanding this season. The Pirates look like a team that could truly contend for the state championship. And it's been a while since you could say that. A win Friday puts Putnam City in the semifinals for the first time since 2003. They haven't played for the gold ball since 1977. Muskogee is coming off back to back trips to the state championship game. But the Roughers look completely different this season and there's no doubt about that. it's been a rocky road for the Roughers to get to this point but they are certainly not going to back down from a fight Friday night. They'll look to pull off the upset win on the road to survive and advance.

#5 PIEDMONT (8-3) AT #1 SAND SPRINGS (8-2) (MARQUEE MATCH-UP)

Not only is Sand Springs hosting Piedmont the only match-up of top five teams this week in 6A-2, it's the most intriguing match-up in 6A-2, making it this week's marquee match-up. The top-ranked Sandites will host #5 Piedmont and we will see a complete clash of styles when these two teams take the field.

Piedmont is searching for their second semifinal appearance in school history and you definitely have to take them seriously as a team that could make a run to Edmond. Speaking of running, that's exactly what Piedmont will do Friday night. They racked up over 600 yards of total offense last week in the first round and most of it was on the ground. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] had a monster performance and he was joined by [player_tooltip player_id='1878056' first='Brooks' last='Backus'] in the backfield. Between the two of them, they couldn't be stopped by Bartlesville in the first round. Led by this rushing attack, Piedmont will look to knock off 6A-2's top-ranked team for the second time in the last month after doing the same to Stillwater in week nine.

The Sandites will counter Piedmont's rushing attack with one of the top passing offenses in the state, regardless of class. Sand Springs has won eight straight games after starting the year 0-2 with losses to 6A-1's Bixby and Owasso. They are led by arguably the best QB/WR combo in the state with senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] and junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1837043' first='Dominic' last='Forbes'] and nobody has been able to contain them in the last two months. Sand Springs has been dominant this season and they ran away with the district championship, earning them a bye week last week. The Sandites are a team that have been knocking on the door in Class 6A-2 for the last few years. They could certainly kick the whole thing down this season.

#6 SOUTHMOORE (6-5) AT #2 STILLWATER (8-2)

Southmoore's first trip to the playoffs came in 2009 and they made it to the semifinals. The Sabercats hadn't won a playoff game since then until beating Ponca City last week. And that sets up an interesting quarterfinal clash as they have to return to Stillwater, where they will face the Pioneers for the second time in three weeks. In week ten, the Sabercats lost 35-7 but they are playing with more confidence. That might not be enough as the Pioneers have looked like the team to beat in Class 6A-2 for the majority of this season. They bounced back from an upset loss to Piedmont in week nine by handling the Sabercats in week ten. Southmoore can present some challenges but Stillwater is hungry to make a run to the state championship game and they have a team that can do it.
