#5 DIBBLE (9-2) AT #1 VIAN (10-1)

It's a top five clash as top-ranked Vian hosts #5 Dibble on Friday night. For Vian, the mission is simple, take one more step towards making it back to Edmond. The Wolverines played for the state championship last season but had to settle for silver. They've definitely used that loss as motivation this season and are two wins from making it back to the title game. On the other side of the match-up you have a Dibble squad that has been one of the bigger surprise teams in 2A-2 this season. In the first week of district play, they went from being unranked to a top five team after stunning defending champion Davis. Dibble hasn't made a semifinal since playing for the state title nearly four decades ago. This team will try to pull off another upset Friday night, winning their second match-up against a top-ranked team.

#4 HOLDENVILLE (10-1) AT #2 ADAIR (11-0) (MARQUEE MATCH-UP)

It's a semifinal or even a championship-quality match-up and we're getting it in the quarterfinal round. #2 Adair will host #4 Holdenville and get ready to watch some smash-mouthed football, led by two running quarterbacks that run the offense to near perfection.

For Holdenville, the Wolverines are led by junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1716194' first='Abe' last='Gomez'] and he runs this Wolverine misdirection offense to perfection. He's one of 2A-2's leaders in rushing touchdowns this season and he leads a very high-scoring offense to northeastern Oklahoma this week. Gomez and the Holdenville offense have exceeded 50 points in seven different games this season. For the second straight season, the Wolverines have been one of the best teams in Class 2A-2. Last season, they broke through and won the district title. This season, they've been a consistent top five team throughout the year. But they are looking to translate that to playoff success this season. Holdenville is looking for their first semifinal appearance since 1999. Beating Adair on the road will not be an easy task.

The Warriors have been to the mountain top not that long ago. It's been around a decade since they captured a state championship and this team has a great shot of at least making it back to the title game this season. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1328091' first='Cooper' last='McCord'] has been one of the best players in 2A-2 over the last two seasons and he is looking to guide his team back to the title game this year. Adair lost to eventual champion Davis in the quarterfinal round a year ago. For the second straight year, the Warriors finished the regular season with an undefeated record. They certainly aren't satisfied with that. And with Davis and Vian on the other side of the bracket, you could make a very strong argument that the winner of this game is going to have a great shot of at least making it to Edmond to contend for the gold ball.

#6 SALINA (10-1) AT #3 DAVIS (9-2)

Down in southern Oklahoma, defending champion Davis will host Salina and for the Wildcats, they have an opportunity to make some school history this week. If they knock off the defending champs, they'll punch their ticket to the semifinal round for the first time in program history. They've been playing lights out all season, with their only loss coming to unbeaten Adair. Defending champion Davis will look to take another step towards defending their crown and going back to back. The Wolves certainly have a team capable of making a run at another state championship this season. Led by their star quarterback and a relentless rushing attack, they are tough to stop. This is also a match-up featuring two teams that lost their district opener and haven't lost since.

#9 WYANDOTTE (9-2) AT #7 STROUD (10-1)

#7 Stroud hosts #9 Wyandotte and we have to say that we have been wrong about Stroud all season. The Tigers made a run to the semifinals a year ago and came up short against Davis. They lost a solid group of seniors and we thought they would take a step back this season. Nope. They lost their season opener and haven't lost since, dominating their way to a district title and they are one win away from another semifinal appearance. For Wyandotte, this is not your typical 3-seed as they've been a consistent top ten team all season but their two losses came to district foes Adair and Salina. Wyandotte has an offense that can light up the scoreboard and the quarterback match-up in this one is going to be fun to watch. We could end up seeing a high-scoring game decided in the fourth quarter.
