Charlie has been racking up some offers recently, and it's easy to see what people like. First, he was consistent all season long snapping for a P-4 committed QB. He's a nasty OL who loves to get physical at the point of attack. He gets low, gets under pads and drives guys away from the play. He also has a few highlights of him getting out in space either pulling or getting to the 2nd level and executing some difficult blocks in space. He's such a tough athlete to stop. Whether it's between the tackles, in space on the outside or in the passing game, Smith can be a huge weapon. He runs angry and can break tackles, but he also has the awareness and vision to patiently wait until the play develops before exposing the crease in the defense. He can change the game on any given play and can be a true home run hitter. I don't know how many times he shows up on film making something out of absolutely nothing. He sees the field extremely well and is able to hit tight windows and overall has excellent ball placement. He can hit back shoulder, over the top or zip it between defenders, layering it perfectly. Even under duress, Drew can sling it with the best of them. He has good size, legitimate track speed and tremendous ball skills. He returned kicks for Clare, and used his great vision and blazing speed to absolutely fly through gaps and turn them into scores. When placed on the outside, he runs great routes, has great change of direction and made some defensive backs look silly. I firmly believe he could develop into a true WR1 at any D3, and could even become a top receiver at the D2 level eventually. At the OLB position, he poses a real nightmare for offenses as he is tall and lanky and can cover a ton of ground. It's hard to pass when he's around just because of his length and how rangy he is. A few highlights show him rushing the passer and getting in the QB's face, using his long limps to try to deflect passes or just create a face guard. Ferguson also has some impressive reps against Belleville where he was able to create a ton of pressure and come away with a few huge sacks. Great athlete with a ton of upside with the right coaching. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
