2027 Standouts – OAA Blue T/B

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Troy and Bloomfield Hills are both programs on the rise. Today, I spent time looking at potential prospects from Troy, Bloomfield Hills, and other OAA Blue programs. My past evaluations still stand. He's a tall, athletic football player with genuine upside. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As a downfield playmaker, he's the same as I'm used to seeing. A burner when running straight-line downfield, but his change of direction, hands, and general receiver skills still need polishing. Though I am intrigued by some of his blocking highlights- he did a solid job this year of finding someone to block, and aiding his offense. Defensively, Cole's play speed has improved compared to last season. As an outside linebacker (on and off ball) Cole has improved his IQ, and looks much more willing to cut off rushing lanes, and take on blocks. Good, aggressive angles and sound tackling that rarely allowed extra yards. 1:07 is a great example of this- Cole does a great job reading pitch, dips through the blocker, and gets in on the tackle. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There's also a handful of offensive highlights. At QB and RB, Cole's play speed shows up once again. He's a hard runner and does a great job running north-south. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Extremely promising Junior season tape from Cole. Jordan has a few super bright moments on tape. 0:30 is one of my favorite highlights, as Jordan quickly reads counter and makes the stop from the backside. 0:38 against Seaholm, he makes a similar stop as he chases down the QB from the backside. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The common denominator with Jordan's tape is effort. I could nitpick Jordan's technique a bit, but I have zero issues with his effort. His tape kicks off with a nice fade, leading to a 35-yard touchdown. A solid route, and great ball tracking leading to the explosive TD. Next highlight, Matthew has a great release, immediately earns separation, and finishes the play with a TD grab. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Further, Matthew had a nice game against Seaholm, earning a handful of targets on hitch routes. At 0:38 in particular, he does a nice job turning upfield and earning yards after catch. Lastly, Matthew spent some time as a kick returner (1:19) and did a nice job with those opportunities. I do see athletic upside, and he's developing regarding contact balance and vision. Offensively, there's a handful of good blocks here. 0:20 showcases good anchor and balance against a solid pass rush. 0:26, he lays a solid down block. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Early in the tape, Sebastian shows off a couple of defensive highlights. His tape kicks off with a great outside run stop where he works his blocker all the way to the opposite hash.
