Week 7 Recap- Standout Defensive Performances Across the State

What a week!   Today, we're watching some of our Standout Performers on the defensive side of the ball. These prospects dominated this week and have been putting together some impressive seasons- we're all going to have to watch out for them moving forward.   With that being said, make sure you watch their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1953840' first='Chauncy' last='Alo'] is a talented senior LB out of Thompson who's coming off a terrific performance this past week.   "Alo is terrific at defending the run. He flies downhill, fights off blockers, and gets to the ball carrier almost every rushing down. I'm impressed with his instincts and ability to make stops from sideline to sideline. He's a well-rounded LB who's offered a ton to Thompson defensively."   Alo had a huge night against Hillcrest. He recorded 10 total tackles (one for loss) and a sack.   Do yourself a favor and watch some of Alo's tape below. He's a talented defender having a heck of a season this fall:      [player_tooltip player_id='1953841' first='Stevie' last='Allen'] is a talented LB out of Daphne in the middle of an impressive junior season.   "Allen makes his impact felt in several different ways. He's great at defending the run, but thrives against the pass with his pursuit and ball skills. Allen can rush and put pressure on the passer, while also being able to drop back into coverage and make plays on the ball.   Allen is a fun player to watch. He has an impressive blend of speed, strength, and instincts that make him an every-down threat to opposing defenses. We'll have to keep track of him moving forward."   Allen was unstoppable against Alma Bryant. He racked up 9 total tackles, forced a fumble, and hauled in an INT.   I was seriously impressed with Allen's play this week. [player_tooltip player_id='1953842' first='Jonathan' last='Roberto'] had an unbelievable performance for Helena's defense this week, putting himself on our radar moving forward.   "Roberto seems to always be near the ball at the right time. He's an instinctual, smart defender who can identify and blow up plays at any moment. He has a great understanding of his assignments and what he has to do in order to create stops.   When you pair that with his athleticism and ability to make plays in coverage, you have a really well-rounded LB. I'm excited to watch him down the stretch of this season."   Roberto was terrific against Pelham. He recorded 20 total tackles (one for loss), flying around the field and creating stops nearly every snap.   Be sure to check out some of Roberto's clips below, you'll come away impressed:      [player_tooltip player_id='1801995' first='Davian' last='Sinegal'] is an underrated DB from Buckhorn who's playing at an unreal level this season.   "Sinegal is a highly intelligent and instinctual DB who flies around the field to create stops nearly every snap. Against the run, he does a great job using his speed, vision, and pursuit to locate and hunt down RBs from the opposite side of the field. I'm impressed with his tackling as well. He's willing to dish out big hits and does a great job wrapping up to prevent additional yardage   Sinegal really impresses me in coverage. He's really productive in man, and has the ball skills, hands, and timing to create some huge PBUs and INTs. Overall, Sinegal has a well-rounded skill set and is 100% a player to look out for this fall."   Sinegal was terrific against Southside, recording 10 tackles (one for loss) and one INT.
