Washington Huskies hosting loaded West Coast recruiting weekend

The Washington Huskies are 5-2 and are set to host No. 23 Illinois on Saturday.   After that, Jedd Fisch's crew facing a very beatable trio of Wisconsin, Purdue and UCLA, then hosts a marquee matchup against top-10 Oregon.   In other words, if the Huskies can get by Illinois they have a good chance of being 9-2 when they take on the Ducks.   So, Saturday's contest is a big one.   Hoping to utilize the big stage, Washington is hosting a quality collection of visitors, including several key in-state prospects.   Here's a look at the players who have confirmed they are making the trip:    Official visitors    TE Kekua Aumua (Kahuku, Hawaii) — The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end, nicknamed. “Rhino,” is committed to the Florida Gators.   He accumulated 20 scholarship offers during his early recruitment, and is taking an official visit following the firing of Billy Napier.   It's a fascinating recruitment to watch.    DB Toray Davis (Fairview, Colorado) — The versatile 6-foot-1, 185-pound versatile defensive back remains uncommitted, but holds 16 scholarship offers.   Davis has previously taken official visits to UCLA and Wisconsin.   DL [player_tooltip player_id='1704144' first='Ta'a' last='Malu'] (Annie Wright, Washington) — The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive lineman is committed to Washington and taking his official visit this weekend.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='1655930' first='Ramzak' last='Fruean'] (Bethel, Washington) — The top uncommitted prospect in Washington, Fruean has experienced a late surge to his recruitment.   After back-to-back official visits to Arizona and BYU, Washington will get its shot to impress the in-state target.   Of note, he also took official visits to Oregon State and UCLA.   Unofficial visits   Class of 2026   OL Dominic Harris (Clark, Nevada) — Harris has been committed to Washington since June 1 and took his official visit in May.   He makes a return trip this weekend.   WR Mason James (Norman North, Oklahoma) — Like Harris, James has been committed to Washington since June and already took an official visit.   He tweeted that he'll be “back home” this weekend.    ATH Dre Pollard (Clark, Nevada) — Stop me if you've heard this one before. Pollard committed in June and already took his official visit. He's back in town to hang out and catch the game.    Class of 2027   QB [player_tooltip player_id='1188085' first='Sione' last='Kaho'] (Lincoln, Washington) — One of the nation's best quarterbacks in the class of 2027, [player_tooltip player_id='1188085' first='Sione' last='Kaho'] already holds offers from Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Oregon, Stanford, Utah, Washington and others.    It may be too early to say, but early on Oregon and Washington feel like the most locked in on Kaho as a recruit.   WR [player_tooltip player_id='1188109' first='Braylon' last='Pope'] (Sumner, Washington) — A composite four-star wide receiver with double-digit offers, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound pass-catcher is one of the top prospects in the state of Washington among the junior class.   He is, and will remain, a priority recruit.    WR [player_tooltip player_id='1188105' first='J'Isaiah' last='Mitchell'] (Puyallup, Washington) — The 6-foot-5, 180-pound two-way playmaker will flirt with four-star status sooner rather than later.   He holds offers from eight programs, highlighted by BYU, Cal, Washington and Washington State.    DL [player_tooltip player_id='1197327' first='Kasi' last='Currie'] (Sierra Canyon, California) — Rated as highly as the nation's No. 2 defensive lineman in 2027, [player_tooltip player_id='1197327' first='Kasi' last='Currie'] looks the part of a five-star prospect.   The 6-foot-5, 315-pound defender holds nearly 20 scholarship offers and will have his choice of college anywhere in the country.   CB [player_tooltip player_id='1197619' first='Aaryn' last='Washington'] (Mater Dei, California) — One of the top cornerbacks in the country, [player_tooltip player_id='1197619' first='Aaryn' last='Washington'] is rated a top-50 prospect nationally and holds 22 offers, including Alabama, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Washington and others.    WR Tre Moore (Weiss, Texas) — The four-star pass-catcher is nearing 40 scholarship offers, highlighted by Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Washington and others.    Getting an unofficial visit is a good sign for the Huskies, who have churned out high-quality wide receivers in recent years.   CB [player_tooltip player_id='415359' first='Jailen' last='Hill'] (St. John Bosco, California) — A top-150 player in the country, [player_tooltip player_id='415359' first='Jailen' last='Hill'] is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back with more than 20 offers.   Notre Dame and USC are among the teams recruiting him hardest, but it may still be early in his process.    S [player_tooltip player_id='1197607' first='Malakai' last='Taufoou'] (Junipero Serra, California) — A four-star safety from one of California's best high school programs, [player_tooltip player_id='1197607' first='Malakai' last='Taufoou'] is flirting with the 20-offer mark.   Washington has had a ton of success developing defensive backs,, which is sure to help them in the 2027 cycle.    LB [player_tooltip player_id='1197526' first='Ethan' last='Coach'] (St. John Bosco, California) — A 6-foot-3, 205-pound ‘backer with upside, [player_tooltip player_id='1197526' first='Ethan' last='Coach'] has double-digit offers, including schools in the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC and beyond.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='1197527' first='Justin' last='Coach'] (St. John Bosco, California) — Another three-star linebacker, [player_tooltip player_id='1197527' first='Justin' last='Coach'] has eight offers.
