His tape is extremely high quality, and he's proven himself in all three phases. Great O/ST highlights, but I'd like to zoom in on his best defensive trait.

I love how Kam attacks the run (or any ball carrier in the open field). At safety, Kam is a true sideline-to-sideline defender, oftentimes full-on sprinting to the ballcarrier, taking aggressive angles, and hitting hard. Watch the highlight at 6:00- Kam reads the screen quickly and closes a ton of distance while the ball is still in the air. Or, at 4:12, Kam perfectly reads outside zone, takes an agressive angle, sprints toward the sideline, and delivers a big hit. Really, really amazing effort throughout the highlight tape, and it especially shows up when stopping the run.

Kam's highlights show promise as a man-to-man defender. Plus, he's shown to be a very productive player on offense and special teams. As good of a highlight tape as you'll see, and I strongly believe that Kam will earn some offers in the coming months.

One of the better run-stopping DBs in the state. Dallas is going to be an important piece of EK's potential playoff run, and his run-stopping will be needed tonight against Grand Ledge, then again next week against (most likely) Howell.

Dallas' current tape on Hudl showcases a solid ability to stop the outside run + screens. He's pretty quick to react and does a nice job wrapping up and making stops for little to no extra yards. Good job staying square in the open field and making sure he doesn't get juked. Dallas tends to hit a little high, but other than that, he's a rock-solid defender.

I've mentioned Tyler a few times already this season. This is a breakout junior who earned an All-Conference honorable mention.

I really like how fluid an athlete Tyler is. Consistent, quick change of direction, fluid hips, and able to start/stop on a dime. Helps him out quite a bit in the run game, as Tyler tends to take aggressive angles, and when the angle is right, he's stopping the ball carrier for minimal yardage. Sometimes, Tyler takes a bad angle or has trouble getting out of a block. Still, he's one of the best run-stopping DBs in his region. Super curious to see how Tyler fares this postseason, starting tonight.

A multi-faceted player at Mona Shores. Piggue can do it all. He's had an amazing season at SLWR, but he's also shown great stuff at strong safety.

Piggue flies around on the defensive side of the ball. He's likely the most effective blitzer on this list. Love the way he's able to fly past an offensive tackle and light up the QB before he has any opportunity to throw it. Piggue also does an excellent job in 1on1 situations in the open field. In Dom's week 4-7 highlights (4:06), he has one awesome highlight against Byron Center. He's outnumbered 2-to-1 with a lead blocker out front and RB behind trying to earn the outside. Dom does an excellent job of beating the lead blocker to his spot, absorbing the attempted block, and making the tackle in space. Piggue will need to make several plays just like this if they're going to upset Muskegon tonight!

A well-covered prospect on here who is known for being an incredibly aggressive defender.

I wouldn't be shocked if Luke averages 3+ open-field tackles per game. He does an excellent job at reading, reacting, and attacking. If the opposing offense runs outside zone (or even counter) to Luke's side, you better bet Luke will be taking an aggressive angle to the RB. Against teams running the Power T, Luke is able to line up inside the box, and fight through blocks + fill gaps just as a linebacker would.

This season, Luke has made his presence known a whole lot more on the offensive side of the football. Truly a top-tier player in the OK Conference, and someone who is going to play a massive role in tonight's playoff game against Grandville.

With the 2025 postseason kicking off tonight, I thought I'd share the best run-stopping DBs that will be featured tonight and throughout the postseason.
