St. Anthony's Friars Film Study

The Friars entered White Plains, looking to move to above .500 on the season. In a competitive game, St. Anthony's took home the Catholic League victory 49-21. The Sophomore QB, has put together a solid last few games, and looked good against the Crusaders.   Diieso, is a valuable asset in the RPO/Option game. He can run, and use his legs for gains. He is a physical runner who can take hits. As a passer, he has solid arm strength, along with good accuracy. I like vision, and he feels pressure well in the pocket.     [player_tooltip player_id='1208765' first='Kevin' last='Moore'], is one of the top ATH in the state for good reason. The Friars ATH, played both DB/WR, where he had a successful game against the Crusaders.   Moore was deadly in the pass game, where he could make 50/50 catches look easy and drew multiple flags on PI. On defense, he was an excellent tackler. He has outstanding footwork, and good pursuit, as he jumped multiple routes with elite speed. He is heading to Delaware next season, and for good reason.     Prokop, is one of my favorite athletes on the Friars offense. The 6'4" TE, had a great game, in both the blocking, and receiving aspects for St. Anthony's.   Prokop, was elite in the blocking game, and helped hold the edge, with excellent hands, and strength leading to multiple good runs for the Friars. In the Passing game, he showed good physicality, and made good catches for gains. After the catch he looks like a receiver, and has good speed and footwork.     Bala is one of the top RB's in the country, and added three touchdowns to his career in an impressive game. The St. Anthony's RB, turned eyes on both sidelines.   Bala had some pretty runs against the Crusaders. The Junior RB, was elusive, and hard to tackle, he showed elite physicality and ran through multiple defenders. His footwork is at the D1 level, and he can make cuts with ease. Bala is certainly a P4 prospect, and his game against Stepinac proved it.     Bordeaux got in the game late for the Friars, and had some nice runs along with a touchdown. The Sophomore back is a playmaker to watch as his Hs career progresses.   With limited snaps, it was tough to gain a good read on him. The Sophomore back was fast, and displayed good speed on runs. He was tough to tackle, and displayed elite footwork, and vision. The gaps were created for Bordeaux, and he capitalized on them, racking up solid yardage on the day.     [player_tooltip player_id='840987' first='Bryce' last='Ciancuielli'], had a great game in the blocking department. The Friars O-Line, held a dominant Stepinac defense at bay, and created gaps that helped score five rushing touchdowns.   He is a physical lineman, who showed good strength throughout the game. The Senior Lineman, had good leverage and moved defenders to create holes in the B-Gap. His hands were decent, and a few plays looked like holding calls, but no flag flew. Bryce is a solid prospect who with a little work can be a stud on any college line.     Bramoff, was a guy I saw across the field the entire game. The Senior LB, was a vocal leader on defense, and had a major impact in the win for the Friars.   I liked his strength and physicality throughout the game. The Senior has solid size, and from the LB position, he made multiple tackles. His vision showed throughout the game, as he tracked the offense, and the RB's through plays. He was in coverage a bit, where he did a solid job holding down his man or zone.     Ortiz was another member of the Friars line who had a solid game. The Junior has solid size standing at 6'3" 260-Pounds, he can look to gain some weight in the off-season, and can play any position on this line.   I liked Ortiz's strength, and his hands. He moved defenders on almost every play, and was seen, using his elite physicality throughout the game. He controlled the LOS, and had a good first step, that combined with solid leverage. He is an underrated guy on this line, who has good tools.
