Platteview's [player_tooltip player_id='1818759' first='Owen' last='Trofholz'] is a player who jumped on my radar right before the season started and has continued to impress seven games into his senior season. Trofholz has had a breakout season as he leads the Trojans in receiving with 36 receptions for 524 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Owen is a bigger, lengthier receiver at 6'4" and 190 pounds with room to continue filling out his frame at the next level. His mix of size and athleticism allows him to be used across the formation, really thriving as a bigger slot receiver who can attack and make tough catches over the middle of the field. He has reliable hands at the catch point and is strong enough to hold on to the ball when battling through contact. One thing that stands out about Trofholz is his willingness to work back to the ball and use his size to box out defenders at the catch point. You can also move Owen to the outside, where he has shown the ability to take the top off of a defense and can go up to win the 50/50 balls. Sleeper prospect who would be a steal at this point in the cycle!

Gering's [player_tooltip player_id='1114607' first='Bo' last='Gable'] is a player who is surprisingly still flying under the radar despite being a varsity contributor/starter since his freshman season. This consistency has continued into his senior season, with Bo recording 50 tackles, 6 TFLs, a sack, and an interception through seven games. Bo is an interesting player with a very versatile skillset that could see him play safety or linebacker at the collegiate level. Gable especially excels as a run defender, where he flashes quick instincts when reading his keys and the ability to explode through his gaps when going downhill. His explosiveness allows him to penetrate the backfield cleanly, but even when he gets caught at the LOS, Gable has shown that he can stack and shed blocks to continue pursuing the ball. Gable also impresses with his ability to flip his hips and drop into coverage. With a reported 4.49 40-yard time, Gable has the speed to keep up with most receivers while also having the agility to change direction on the fly out in space. His great range and closing speed allow him to get to the ball from nearly anywhere on the field.

Gable has turned it up a notch this season as the Bulldog's leading rusher with 714 yards and nine touchdowns on 114 carries. He's also recorded 11 receptions, 141 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and a kickoff return TD to show the overall versatility and playmaking he can bring to the field.

Speaking of versatile, there are a few players with the two-way upside like Wahoo's [player_tooltip player_id='1114861' first='Eli' last='Shada']. Eli is a versatile player who I believe could play either tight end or defensive end at the collegiate level. Defensively, Eli has been a force at the line of scrimmage with 58 total tackles, 12 TFLs, and three sacks. His ability to hold the edge really stood out, as he used his strength to stack blockers and force runners to think twice about going to the outside. Shada effectively uses his hands to get into the blocker's frame, then utilizes his powerful leg drive to move them off the ball. Eli's lateral quickness was also impressive as he flashed the ability to close on the ball effectively. In a run-heavy offense, Eli makes sure to stand out with his exceptional blocking ability as an in-line tight end. Shada implements proper blocking technique and footwork to win his 1v1 battles at the line of scrimmage. He can climb up to seal off second-level defenders with ease and possesses an excellent motor that keeps him running through the whistle. Several D2 programs have already offered Eli, but he will likely pick up a few more before decision time... get on board NOW!

The Monarchs have been a machine churning out college-level OL prospects, and that continues with senior [player_tooltip player_id='487613' first='Kayne' last='Hassler']. In his first season as a full-time starter, Kayne has been a key blocker on the right side of the offensive line with experience at guard and tackle. Hassler has the size that should translate well to the next level at 6'3" and 270 pounds with good strength in his base and hands. What stands out about Kayne's game is his physicality and motor that keep him running all the way through the whistle. Hassler likes bringing the fight to his opponent with quickness out of his stance, and he makes sure to be the first one to make an impact at the point of attack with a powerful punch. He effectively lands his hands right in his opponent's chest, where he is then able to use his leverage advantage to overwhelm the defender and drive them into the ground. Once he's locked in, Kayne's base allows him to anchor down to stonewall defenders at the line of scrimmage. Rising senior prospect who could make some noise in this recruiting cycle.

The 2026 RB class is a deep one filled with hidden gem prospects that could bolster any team's recruiting class. One prospect who shouldn't be overlooked is RB [player_tooltip player_id='795744' first='Evan' last='Johnson'], who has been the spearhead for a gritty 6-1 Gothenburg squad. He currently leads the team in rushing yards, with 110 carries for 606 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. Johnson is a physical back who can chip away at defenses between the tackles with the vision and cutback ability to bounce runs to the outside. At 6'1" and 185 pounds, Johnson has a sturdy frame that should fit the RB position well at the next level. Good burst when exploding through his holes and strong contact balance to keep himself upright as he fights through tackle attempts. Looking forward to seeing more of Evan's film from this season, which will showcase the development jump from junior to senior year!
