is a player who is surprisingly still flying under the radar despite being a varsity contributor/starter since his freshman season. This consistency has continued into his senior season, with Bo recording 50 tackles, 6 TFLs, a sack, and an interception through seven games. Bo is an interesting player with a very versatile skillset that could see him play safety or linebacker at the collegiate level. Gable especially excels as a run defender, where he flashes quick instincts when reading his keys and the ability to explode through his gaps when going downhill. His explosiveness allows him to penetrate the backfield cleanly, but even when he gets caught at the LOS, Gable has shown that he can stack and shed blocks to continue pursuing the ball. Gable also impresses with his ability to flip his hips and drop into coverage. With a reported 4.49 40-yard time, Gable has the speed to keep up with most receivers while also having the agility to change direction on the fly out in space. His great range and closing speed allow him to get to the ball from nearly anywhere on the field.
Gable has turned it up a notch this season as the Bulldog’s leading rusher with 714 yards and nine touchdowns on 114 carries. He’s also recorded 11 receptions, 141 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and a kickoff return TD to show the overall versatility and playmaking he can bring to the field.
I wasn’t with the linebacker group a ton at the 6/9 SDSU Prospect camp, but one of the few linebackers that caught my attention was Gering (NE) 2026 Bo Gable. He passed the eye test with flying colors and was very fluid in watching him lateral movement and brought the downhill suddenness to get down to the ball quickly. He also was a linebacker it didn’t take long to tell that he plays with a high motor in the all the reps I watched from him in Brookings. The eye catching testing numbers were there too for Bo, as he a ran 4.5 40 yard dash at 6’0 nearly 200 pounds, and also went 9’5 in the broad jump showing off that explosiveness I saw throughout the day. Linebacker looks like his best fit, but the quick tape I saw shows off how much of a Swiss army knife this kid appears to be. Bo has a couple RMAC and NSIC offers which would fit the bill fit wise with what I saw on tape in my eyes.

who ended his year near the top of his team’s tackles list with 80 total tackles, a TFL, and a fumble recovery. Bo is a solid athlete with upside at both offense and defense. He’s a versatile outside linebacker who can play coverage or be lined up near the line of scrimmage. Bo is a reactive player who reads his keys well and can quickly get to his spot to make a play. He is athletic enough to pick up backs and tight ends in coverage. He can do On offense, I really liked seeing the physicality Bo brings as a blocker, as he never passed on the opportunity to pancake a defender. Great jump ball receiver! I am looking forward to seeing more of Bo in the upcoming years.
