MN 9-Man Studs of 2025:

The 9-man league has had their share of impressive performers that have racked up huge numbers playing on the shorter fields, and through the 2025 season, the 9-man league has seen several standouts make their presence known across the state that they have a lot more to offer beyond just how many players are on the field and that they are legitimate studs on the gridiron. We unveil 9 players who have dominated across the 2025 season in MN's 9-Man League!    [player_tooltip player_id='1290743' first='Reid' last='Hungerholt'] has been the primary catalyst toward LeRoy-Ostrander's offensive prevalence as they finished as a top-10 scoring offense in the league this season. Hungerholt provided a large sum of that offensive production, finishing with 1701 passing yards, 20 TDs, and 8 INTs while rushing for 1030 yards and 9 rushing TDs (6 YPC). Hungerholt has been so dynamic for the Cardinals with defenses consistently worrying about his ability to take off on the run or being able to sling it down the sideline with ease, and while his accuracy was hit-or-miss at times, there is no denying his playmaking ability. Hungerholt will try to build off this strong junior campaign by looking to hone his accurate ability to make him even more dangerous in the pocket.     Easily the most proficient QB in the 9-man league this season, Swedberg has had a dominant effect on the field, which has been a big reason why the Comets are sitting undefeated with the #1 seed in their section. Completing over 68% of his passes, Swedberg has thrown for 1531 yards, 23 TDs, and 5 INTs while rushing for 851 yards and 17 rushing TDs. Swedberg has an outstanding arm, showing great release and arc on his throws, showing much stronger passing mechanics compared to other QBs at the 9-man level, and he's also just as dangerous when it comes to pulling the ball down and keeping it himself. Swedberg will look to continue guiding the Comets with a steady hand toward a state championship this season, and with that could parlay a couple of offers as he's proven to be a overlooked, but very legitimate QB prospect in this senior class.     Ogilvie's offense was dynamic this season, and Kaden Felde was at the forefront for a unit that had the most rushing yards in the league as well as the second highest scoring offense in the 9-man league. Felde ran for 1351 yards and 26 TDs (8.7 YPC) while catching 7 passes for 137 yards and 2 TDs. For his size, Felde is a slippery and nimble scamper RB who has a surprising amount of lower body strength to drive the pile and push ahead for extra yardage. Felde was best utilized running outside of the box, where his vision and quick cuts allows him to find the open lanes and surge through to take it to the house. Ogilvie's season ended on Saturday with Felde leading the league in both rushing yards and TDs to cap off his high school career.     Jax Sullivan doesn't have huge numbers, but he's been a steady performer, guiding Littlefork-Big Falls to the third highest scoring offense in the 9-man league this season. Sullivan finished with 895 passing yards, 12 TDs, and 0 INTs while rushing for 856 yards and 13 TDs (13.4 YPC). Sullivan has been explosive as a runner, proving dangerous out of the pocket and able to pull the ball down and run ahead for big yardage to keep the team moving. Passing the ball, Sullivan has been very efficient, making smart reads with minimal errors and solid accuracy. Sullivan will look to keep the Vikings on the run for a state championship push as they take on #1-seeded Cook County on Halloween night.     Renville County West suffered a down year following a strong 9-3 campaign in 2024, though the offense benefited as Jacob Savig built off a solid junior season to bull his way through the ground with his steady presence in the backfield. Savig ran for 1276 yards and 5 rushing TDs (5.8 YPC). A powerful runner with a strong frame and solid lower-body strength, Savig proved to be difficult to bring down, especially running at an angle where he was able to keep defenders off of him, and he shows solid speed running around the edge to breakaway outside the box. Savig capped off his high school career on a strong note, and his size and running ability might make him an underrated commodity to target heading into this upcoming recruiting class.     The all-purpose athlete for Kingsland saw predominant snaps as the team's starting QB this season, and [player_tooltip player_id='402074' first='Kaaleem' last='Reiland'] did a great job leading the way with his dynamic ability under Center. Reiland finished with 377 passing yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT while rushing for 991 yards and 14 rushing TDs (9.3 YPC). More often than not, Reiland beat his opponents with his legs, thanks to his quick acceleration, solid vision, and his sharp awareness along with his ability to react to his surroundings on a whim. Reiland did show some good reps as a southpaw QB, making good reads and limiting mistakes as a passer, but his future will most likely be at RB, and he's already committed to Minnesota-Duluth where he will likely flourish pounding the ball for the Bulldogs.     Darin Linn flashed for Alden-Conger this season as an effective dual-threat RB. Linn ran for 872 yards and 15 TDs (7 YPC) while catching 30 passes for 429 yards and 6 TDs. An excellent ball-carrier who needed a pile of defenders to bring him down on multiple occasions, Linn also is able to completely change direction on a dime, flipping the field, and bursting to the open lanes with ease. Linn is a natural talent with multi-purpose ability to spare, and he's certainly a prospect that should warrant attention in this upcoming recruiting class.     Staying in Alden-Conger, [player_tooltip player_id='1666400' first='Kaiden' last='Farris'] has been a steady target for the Knights' passing game. Farris finished with 761 receiving yards on 42 receptions (18.1 YPC) and 11 receiving TDs while adding 101 rushing yards and a rushing TD. He added 408 total return yards and a punt return TD this season. Farris gives plenty of all-purpose value for the Knights, having a more explicit effect in the passing game with his speed, agility, and ability to twist his body around to make acrobatic catches down the field. Farris has deep-threat value as he's able to burn defenders down the field, and despite his smaller size, he's excelled as an outside WR lined up 1-on-1 with bigger CBs. His skillset might better be suited as a slot receiver, but Farris will be a prospect to watch out for as he enters his senior campaign in 2026.     The top target for Leroy-Ostrander's explosive passing game has been Talan Lewison. Lewison finished his senior campaign with 765 yards on 48 catches (15.9 YPC) and 6 receiving TDs. He added 85 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs and 2 return TDs (1 kick and 1 punt). Lewison is simply dynamic, with breakaway speed that allows him to surge ahead of defenders once he gets a seam of space to run through. The Cardinals consistently looked to find Lewison and get him the ball in open space, allowing his vision, agility, and acceleration to be put on full display with what he did with the ball in his hands. Lewison has enough all-purpose potential to translate his success at the next level.
