Michigan’s Clear Top 8 Junior RBs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I don't think I've ever seen such a clear top of an RB class. The class of 2027 is super top-heavy with RBs, with a clear and obvious drop off after the Top 8. I could always be missing someone- LMK if I am. Athletic.Net shows TyAnthony getting faster every year.<br>Very explosive. Great start-stop ability. Twitchy, and is quite effective in the open field. Good vision, especially for a 1st-year Varsity back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Suprisingly good contact balance considering playstyle + size. Does an excellent job running through tackles, and manuvering his body through contact and tight traffic. Great job fighting for extra yards, and can stay balanced with multiple defenders laying hits.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">I was not a fan of TyAnthony before this season. He had very little tape, and all I knew was that he was fast.<br>He does need to hit the weight room, as he's quite small. One elite offseason, and TyAnthony could be a low P4 prospect. Does excellent outside the tackles. Catching screens, LJ does a great job navigating tight traffic- usually with a sidestep or quick spin. Contact balance is good in the open field. Looks like a mini CMC in the open field.<br>Worse in between the tackles. Also, lacks the explosiveness to be a Power 4 prospect. Big, strong, a bruiser, but still a little underdeveloped in the open field. Pure speed, and reminds me a little bit of Donovan Edwards when he was at West Bloomfield. Still has some improvements to make, which I won't mention here. Just have to coach out those mistakes, and I'd also love to see better power and contact balance. I tried to get a good look at Trenton during Week 1, but he didn't get a huge volume of carries like I expected. Since then, I've watched a couple of Belleville games on NFHS Network, and Trenton has been earning more touches. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At his best, Trenton is an explosive all-around 3-down RB. It's obvious that Trenton is an athletic, talented RB, but I need to see a bit more consistency in order for me to rank Trenton in the top 3. Anthony is the most underrated Junior RB in Michigan. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He's been a huge reason why Grand Ledge has had a resurgent season. Anthony has top-end testing numbers, and he's improved some of his weaknesses as the season has progressed. Right now, I view Anthony as a high-end Division 2 prospect. He's been putting up good numbers at Cass Tech since his freshman season. This season, I thought he's looked excellent. A really good combination of speed and power, with excellent balance and high-end vision. The Cass Tech coaching staff has done a great job developing De'Mari, and I strongly beleive that De'Mari is a good Division 2 prospect at a minimum. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
