Hidden Gems: Unranked Seniors Spotlight (Pt. 4)

The 2025 WV high school football regular season is wrapping up, and many seniors have emerged this year who aren't currently placed in our rankings. We'll be highlighting these athletes in the coming days who may be flying under the radar in their final year.    2026 Wheeling Park OL [player_tooltip player_id='1991052' first='Carson' last='McCort'] would be a great Sprint Football prospect with high upside at that level. At 5'8 205, he obviously doesn't have the size that traditional college football programs are seeking, but McCort would excel in the often overlooked Sprint leagues. He mans the center position for the Patriots and is doing a great job there this season, blocking for one of the most productive running backs in recent history. McCort is a bulldog who can handle bigger defensive linemen, and his stature aids his leverage in getting under his man. He's strong for his size and plays with good technique that allows him to overcome his physical limitations.      After missing his junior season due to injury, 2026 Oak Glen RB [player_tooltip player_id='1137700' first='Logan' last='Murray'] has burst onto the scene in his junior year for the Golden Bears. They've turned their program around quickly in 2025, in large part due to the prowess of Murray in the running game. He's rushed for 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns in 9 games as they look to break back into the playoffs again. Murray is excelling in first-year head coach TJ Miller's new offense and is averaging 9 yards per carry. He's a good athlete with length who can run hard between the tackles or bounce it outside and outrun defenders. Murray may earn himself some D2 looks this season as a versatile athlete capable of playing other positions in college.      Small colleges should be checking out 2026 Jefferson QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='894992' first='Ryan' last='Weant']'s film from this season. He's been versatile as an athlete during his career and can move around to a few different spots in college. The Cougars needed him at quarterback to begin the season as they found their footing, but Weant has linebacker experience as well. That may be his best position as a prospect, but Weant could fit into certain systems as a quarterback at the D3 level.      Grafton's leading receiver this season is 2026 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1235251' first='Cole' last='Runner'], who is also very capable in the running game. In 7 games, Runner has over 500 all-purpose yards for the Bearcats and is the leading tackler on defense. He's a smaller athlete but is quick and shifty with the ball in his hands and a tough tackle in the open field. You can get creative with how you get the ball in Runner's hands, with good things likely to happen when you do. Runner can consistently make defenders miss in space and is a danger after the catch as a receiver. D3 programs should be targeting him over the next few months.      Another versatile athlete in the 2026 class who colleges need to know is Chapmanville ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1268282' first='Jeremy' last='Collins']. He's been an underrated part of the Tigers' success this season as they look to finish the regular season undefeated. Collins is capable of playing every skill position on both sides of the ball and has made plays at every spot during his career. He has dynamic playmaking ability with the ball in his hands, and slot receiver feels like his best spot at the next level. Collins has been the lightning to [player_tooltip player_id='1139377' first='Preston' last='Kovach']'s thunder in the backfield this season as a quick and shifty scatback, with the potential to play there in college as well.      2026 Winfield LB [player_tooltip player_id='1991056' first='Brock' last='Graziani'] has been an underrated part of the Generals' defense this season and has the potential to play at the next level. He's an under-the-radar D3 linebacker prospect who has made some big plays in his senior season. Graziani is leading the team in interceptions with 3 from his outside linebacker spot and is comfortable playing in pass coverage. He plays well in space as a tackler and in coverage, with quality athleticism to utilize.      A small school prospect worth spotlighting is 2026 East Hardy WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1605775' first='Khristian' last='Bauserman']. The Cougars have been able to open up the passing game this season because of athletes like Bauserman on the outside. He can be utilized at all three levels of the passing game and has made plays at each this season. Bauserman also does a nice job as a defensive back and could play on that side of the ball in college as well. He has the length to be a deep threat, but also has the athleticism to be dangerous after the catch on screens and short passes.
