Number two in receptions in Iowa so far this season, solely trailing the uber-productive [player_tooltip player_id='1923069' first='Keenan' last='Kilburg'] of Bellevue, [player_tooltip player_id='1631355' first='Callen' last='Messerich'] has caught 67 passes from prolific quarterback at Easton Valley, [player_tooltip player_id='1242285' first='Keagan' last='Lee'].

The main beneficiary of an offense that loves to air it out and use their QB's legs on the ground, Messerich has taken those 67 receptions for 1,133 yards and 18 touchdowns, accounting for over half of Lee's passing yards and passing touchdowns so far in 2025.

Tied for tenth in all classes with 11 touchdown receptions, [player_tooltip player_id='1970812' first='Colby' last='Gast'] has been the go-to target in the Durant passing attack this season. Catching 85% of the Wildcats' touchdown passes in 2025, Gast has been a cornerstone for the Durant offense to lean on.

With 33 catches so far this season, 33.3% of Gast's grabs have been touchdowns. He's also racking up big time yardage, having taken his 33 receptions for 750 yards, averaging 22.7 yards per carry. His 750 receiving yards have accounted for just under 70% of the yards through the air that Durant has put up this season.

Named after Iowa's legendary, Heisman trophy winner, [player_tooltip player_id='1466768' first='Kinnick' last='Geers'] has done his best to live up to ever-renowned name in the Hawkeye State.

With 28 receptions for 784 yards and seven touchdowns, Geers has been an excellent compliment for West Marshall's run-heavy scheme. With two-thirds of the Trojan's offensive yards coming on the ground so far this season, Geers has put together 77.4% of West Marshall's yards through the air, providing an opportunity for his team to beat opposing defenses over the top after establishing the run.

Another small-town, super productive wideout on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='1359054' first='Jacksyn' last='Hogrefe'] is currently third in total receptions in all classes in 2025 with 64.

Part of a balanced attack for Newell-Fonda, Hogrefe is the top target of quarterback, [player_tooltip player_id='1692288' first='Trevor' last='Tauber']. With over 60% of Tauber's completed passes going to Hogrefe, he's clearly got a favorite receiver. Not only that, but just under 50% of his yardage and touchdown passes through the air have gone to the talented senior on the outside.

At 6-foot and 175-pounds, Hogrefe wouldn't be all that physically imposing at bigger schools, but his size allows him to be a main contributor for Newell-Fonda.

An Iowa legacy as the son of 90's point guard, Dean Oliver, [player_tooltip player_id='1295632' first='Isaiah' last='Oliver'] opted to go the football route, and he will join Kirk Ferentz's program in Iowa City in 2026 as a preferred walk-on.

A target that received several scholarship offers from top-tier FCS programs in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, Oliver opted to bet on himself with the Hawkeyes, and he's shown potential of being able to fulfill that bet when he joins the program at Iowa.

This season, Oliver is second in 5A in yards per catch, grabbing passes for an average of 19 yards per catch to help out one of the best, most efficient offenses in the state at Waukee Northwest. Tied for 12th in 5A in receptions with 36, Oliver has taken those grabs for 684 yards and seven scores.
