I love having the chance to look back through the previous week and dive into the film of some of the most elite numbers and performances. This week is such a fun one because of the variety of ways that these student athletes were able to take over games. We saw insane totals for touches where offenses really leaned on one guy. We saw electric athletes turn a few touches into multiple TDs. We also saw some unreal QB numbers, some of which helped lead to upset victories. There is a lot to talk about from this week, so let's cut right to it!

The very first run of Dylan's highlights illustrates the package he brings to the field. Vision to find the lane behind his blocks, and outstanding contact balance to create yards after contact. Then the ability to hit the second gear gets him off to the endzone. The senior finds ways to stay on his feet, and is always getting downfield. Dylan has handled a lot of carries this season and it is resulting in positive results for Bangor. Don't overlook this small school standout.

It was an electric performance from senior RB/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1613817' first='Jaylyn' last='Smith'] for Chippewa Falls, helping them pull off the victory in Week 7. Jaylyn looks more and more like a steal. The 5'10" 175 lbs 2026 brings mismatch creating speed to the backfield. It flashes right on the first play as he flies by the entire defense for the long TD catch. Smith makes his speed even more dangerous because of his patience. He allows things to develop so that he can show off his acceleration the instant that things open up. The senior is at home when asked to attack the edges and play out in space. The dynamic athlete also shines as a DB.

What an absolute BEAST of a performance! Darian toted the rock nearly 40 times in Week 7! The 205 lbs back ran like a runaway freight train. He got north-south and his low center of gravity punished defenders and made them earn every tackle. You have to love how decisive Darian runs. No hesitation, get upfield as soon as the blocks open things up and then let that bowling ball frame churn out the tough yards. Darian can clearly handle a lot of action. The senior QB checked every box with the variety of throws during the upset. Tino delivered dimes with touch over the middle between levels. He fired missiles into tight windows. He also flashed the arm to push the ball deep and drop it in a bucket to his speedy WRs. Whether it be using touch or letting the arm strength show off, Tino was always accurate. He is an outstanding passer of the football. Don't miss out on your chance for the uncommitted senior.

We talked about Quintin back in the early season, and since then the junior has continued to go on a tear and compete for the leader in all passing categories in the state. Week 7 went a long ways towards helping him lead the way in the state. The junior is a technician. Quick release, prototypal throwing motion, great awareness and mobility in the pocket, plus the ability to throw on the run were on a display in Week 7. Arizola plays with really quick and clean footwork that aid in his accuracy and timing. I love the way he attacks every level of the field too. He is becoming a legitimate field general, and the production he will have by the time his graduation rolls around will be elite. Dive into his tape and get him on your radars.

Agility, elusiveness, and sudden lateral cuts in traffic allowed him to win between the tackles too. The electric athlete reads the field so well too and is able to come up with a plan on the fly, reacting to everything going on around him. Ford is a steal that can change games with his touches at the next level.

The high-flying St. Catherine's passing offense put on a show in Week 7. On the receiving end of a ton of big plays was senior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1251504' first='Antoine' last='Ozier']. The senior dominated as a deep threat. He created space with double moves and his speed. Even if he couldn't get that space Antoine proved he could fight through contract and make those difficult catches in traffic. His skillset sets up other parts of his game so well. That speed forces them to back off him, and when they do he can take the quick passes, make a DB miss, and get up the sideline. The senior WR has proven he can win attacking every level of the field. Get on this kid. He produces at a high level every single week!

Kaedyn's Week 7 highlights looked like a season long highlight reel. Every one of his catches produced a massive play downfield. The senior flashed a quick release throughout the night, and once he got on top of his CB we saw the speed to pull away. Holden made multiple concentration catches too. Making grabs after the ball passed just out of the reach of defenders' hands. Between his release package, ball skills, and athleticism the senior should be garnering attention from the WIAC and other D3 programs in WI and around us.

In recent weeks we have seen sophomore RB [player_tooltip player_id='1673984' first='Jabbar' last='Hister'] really start to produce for the MAS offense. The #1 trait that jumps off the Week 7 highlights is his acceleration. Jabbar can jump from 0-100 by the time he gets through the line of scrimmage. That burst made it so difficult for LBs to close gaps and get to him before he could get through level two. Paired with those short area athletic gifts is his vision with the ball in his hands. Jabbar is young, but he reads the field like a veteran. It is a special trait to have and get to develop for two more seasons at the high school level. I'm really liking what we are seeing from the underclassman. Get him on your recruiting boards if he isn't there already!

Junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1452367' first='Kaden' last='Garbe'] was a MONSTER in Week 7! He is an outstanding deep threat. The speed Kaden possesses allowed him to simply run away from the DBs and chase down the deep ball. I love that we get to see him work in the short passing game too and showing that he can quickly open up separation with route running and not just speed. Kaden is going to see himself make a strong rise in the rankings by stacking performances like this. Check him out!

If I had to give one play to demonstrate how the junior RB/FB plays on the field it would be the first play from this week's highlights. The FB instantly gets upfield, runs behind his pads, breaks tackles, and then flips that switch to run away from the defense. Jack isn't just a downhill player. When he plays more of a single back role we see that he can play with some lateral agility to make the defense miss and also get him into space or another gap. Week 7 proved he could do that, turning 7 touches into 2 TDs and 150+ yards. The keys to his success is speed, acceleration, and a great feel for how to get through traffic untouched and quickly. Morehouse is able to make defenders miss in a phone booth and showed that this week. This is one of those athletes you want to get the ball to in space and let him show off how hard he is to contain.
