We have talked about a lot of speed and explosive athletes so far. Next we have the power back. Darian is a 5’10” 205 lbs athlete who piled up just shy of 1,100 yards as a junior. The big man is a boulder rolling downhill when he has the football. Clip after clip you watch him roll right through arms trying to wrap him up. He is built so sturdy from his legs all the way up. While Darian isn’t a burner we do see flashes of effective speed to pick up some chunk plays. At the next level we could even see him in a FB type role with his physical prowess.

A year ago Darian was RB3 for PdC. Fast forward to today and the junior has wrapped up his first RB1 season and ready for another as a senior. The 5’10” 205 lbs athlete runs the ball hard. Downhill, behind his pads, never lets his legs stop and bounces off contact consistently. Darian was able to finish the year averaging 5.2 yards/carry, again highlighting his ability to wear down the defense with his touches between the tackles. I can see Darian being highly sought after by the schools across WI because of his talents and playing style.

What an absolute BEAST of a performance! Darian toted the rock nearly 40 times in Week 7! The 205 lbs back ran like a runaway freight train. He got north-south and his low center of gravity punished defenders and made them earn every tackle. You have to love how decisive Darian runs. No hesitation, get upfield as soon as the blocks open things up and then let that bowling ball frame churn out the tough yards. Darian can clearly handle a lot of action. Check out his tape for yourselves.

Darian had a fantastic week of churning out yards after contact. Multiple times you see his carries end with a swarm of defenders on him trying to drag him down. Darian seems to invite the contact and won’t hesitate to take the physicality to the defense. The junior RB always falls forward to finish plays too. The saying is ‘3 yards and a cloud of dust” and that is exactly how Darian runs, but instead he does it while averaging 6.4 yards/carry. He is built to hammer the defense and break them with down with his power. He did that in Week 5.
