Breakout Brewing: The Unsung Names Ready to Emerge

Copeland has been having himself a nice start to his high school career. The RB/DB measures in at 5'9 140-pounds, he has 20 carries for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, 16 total tackles (9 solo, 7 assisted), 1 INT, and 2 PD. Copeland has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and good balance. He has an explosive start and uses his very good vision to weave through the defense. Paired with his home run speed, once he gets free, he is gone. Very good outside running. As a DB, he has good ball tracking and catching. Plucks the ball out of the air. Copeland is an exciting young prospect that will dominate fields for years to come.     Maroni has been a great linebacker for Grandview this season. Measuring in at 5'10 195-pounds, he has 62 total tackles (13 solo, 49 assisted), 3 TFL. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, good speed, jumping, and lateral quickness. Very good competitive toughness and relentless pursuit. He is usually the first player to make contact on defense and chases defenders down the field to make the play. He's got good tackling and good block shedding. Good tackler and good in zone coverage. His high motor is shown throughout the film, and it helps elevate his teammates as well. Great performances by the linebacker.     Montoya has been making a big presence on this Broomfield team not only in the passing game, but also in the running game. The 6'3 205-pound junior receiver has 21 catches for 493 yards and 3 touchdowns. Good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. Montoya uses his big frame to win contested catches and create big blocks in the run game. Very good release against press jam, using his physicality to win at the LOS. Good separation quickness due to mental processing and play strength. Fights through contact during the route, or will find an open void and sit patiently. Good ball tracking and very good catching. Extends his lengthy arms and plucks the ball out of the air. Very good blocker. Uses his very good strength and hand placement to control DBs or LBs with ease. Very aggressive to win the block. Kid's a beast and should have some more offers soon.     Hoffschneider transferred from Grandview to Chatfield and has been an impressive young linebacker for Chatfield. The 5'10 200-pound LB/RB has 64 total tackles (22 solo, 42 assisted), 3.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT, 2 PD, and 1 FF. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, good speed, and jumping. Hoffschneider has good read and reaction speed, consistently watching where the ball is. He's a good run stopper. He stuffs up gaps or uses his good tackling to wrap the ball carrier and pull them down. Ryder has good pursuit, helping his teammates finish tackles. He's good in zone coverage, and has the athletic ability to cover tight ends or running back out in space. Good block shedding and good get off speed. Hoffschneider has been developing into a great linebacker.     Lee is a pocket passer who is very comfortable in the pocket. The 6'4 228-pound sophomore has prototypical size. This season, he has thrown 115/193 for 1556 yards, 59.6% completion rate, 14 TDs, 9 INT. Lee has very good throw power combined with very good release and good touch on his throws. Fluid throwing motion, and quick snappy hips. He makes it easy for the receiver to catch while maintaining his power. Very good ball placement skills. Lee stays very poised under pressure. With 3 defenders in his face, he stood fearless and threw a dot into tight coverage. His eyes are always downfield, looking for an open man and going through his progressions. I believe he will continue his development into an even better passer, and he's already on the right track.
