Level 2 of the playoffs are on our doorstep! The field has been cut in half from Level 1, the competition has ramped up another notch, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Teams will be looking to set the tone early on in games, including controlling the line of scrimmage. That is done with the big fellas up front, and the talent still playing is an extremely deep collection. To help demonstrate that talent I want to look at just the uncommitted senior OL that college coaches and recruiters should be watching this Friday. Let's roll some tape and talk about what these 2026s have to offer.

Power, power, power. That is the name of the game for senior center [player_tooltip player_id='1220667' first='Cael' last='Gago'] of Rice Lake. The big man dominates at the point of attack. His upper body and heavy hands throw IDL around. The lower body strength is equally overwhelming and allows him to nearly run IDL off the line of scrimmage before burying them in the dirt. The 300 lbs senior moves so well for his size too, whether it is getting up to the second level or positioning on level one, or even recovering while engaged to a defender if he is out of position. The senior is the best uncommitted OL in WI.

Kellen has long impressed us with his size and athleticism. The way he can move in the trenches and beyond have made him a dynamic tool for opening up lanes. However, as a senior Kellen has taken a big leap in the strength category. His recent highlights are littered with plays that end in him pancaking DL. Many times it is from the initial strike. When that does work the big man pairs his size, athleticism, and power to plow DL off the line until they end up on their backs. Kellen is long, powerful, and still decently lean for 275 lbs. The ceiling and potential is so high for the senior out of Whitefish Bay. Dive into his tape and come get a steal.

I came into the season a big fan of the hidden gem out of Evansville. With 9 new weeks of tape I am even bigger fan now. Tanner is built to dominate on the interior. He has refined his athleticism, balance, and power to work off each other so well. Snap after snap the senior does a great job of engaging and staying in a position where he can always generate power while engaged. Tanner is quick off the line, closes fast on LBs, and instantly can turn his quickness and movement into power right at the point of contact. More teams should be interested in having Tanner play on the interior for them at the next level.

The Badger offense has been one of the most explosive offenses in the state in recent years. In part due to the outstanding backfield talent they have had come through the program. Another massive reason is the dominance of the OL up front. One of the multi-year contributors on the OL is [player_tooltip player_id='700027' first='Jackson' last='Buchanan']. The senior dominates as a run blocker. He shoots out of his stance with his hair on fire and seems to accelerate through his blocks, flattening DL or LBs in the process. The way this kid can churn his legs through the block is special and a big reason behind all his pancake blocks. That quickness off the line also expands into his range as he can easily get across the formation or up to level 2. The bit of pass pro that we have seen shows off the power in his anchor to easily maintain the pocket. On top of it, Jackson is an outstanding long snapper and should be a top recruit for that role as well. You need to check this kid out.

Another senior steal in the trenches is Catholic Memorial's Aadon Herrera- Freedy. The senior has a huge frame with length that always wins him the race to getting hands on first. I'm a big fan of Aadon as a pass blocker. His wide base has proven several times that it can absorb big bursts of power and stand up DL. The big man also has shown he can move fluidly side to side to stay square on his man or to pick up a blitzing LB. In the run game we see him get involved in a ton of double teams that completely wash the gap of the level 1 and sometimes level 2 defender. Size, length, footwork, and pass protection are all key pieces to what he brings the next level.

The deeper we get into this article the more of a steal each athlete is. Stratford's dominant LT [player_tooltip player_id='1574367' first='Drew' last='Gage'] has earned the right to be on a lot of radars. Next level size, he stands out from the field with his power as he overwhelms the small school DL he faces on a weekly basis. It is impressive watching his violent power one snap, then the next snap he is showing how quick he can move and position himself and then flip right back to that dominant power. Drew brings size, power, foot agility, and a ton of winning experience at the playoff/State level.

I love these small school OL. They jump off the tape with their size, power advantage, and the special ones separate themselves further with how well they can move and how balanced they are in their movements. That is [player_tooltip player_id='1801678' first='William' last='Tobin'] of Potosi-Cassville. William shines as a pulling lineman. He so easily can cover ground and hit moving targets out in space. The senior looks natural moving out in space too. That balance is key to his success when battling in the trenches 1 on 1. He plays with leverage, knee bend, and good hand placement. That works together to make him a very impactful blocker. Check out some of his tape.
