About Drew
Expert Analysis

Another intriguing steal is Stratford’s 6’4″ 265 lbs left tackle. Despite the long frame, Drew is fantastic at playing low. He fires out of his stance low in the run game, and keeps that through contact. That gives his long lean frame powerful leverage over DL. From there Drew is able to run DL off the ball and finish them with violence. Drew is an athlete at the position too. He can easily maneuver his body while engaged with the defender until he has the right body positioning to wall off defenders. There are plenty of tools to work with here.

The deeper we get into this article the more of a steal each athlete is. Stratford’s dominant LT

has earned the right to be on a lot of radars. Next level size, he stands out from the field with his power as he overwhelms the small school DL he faces on a weekly basis. It is impressive watching his violent power one snap, then the next snap he is showing how quick he can move and position himself and then flip right back to that dominant power. Drew brings size, power, foot agility, and a ton of winning experience at the playoff/State level.

The small-school powerhouse, Stratford, is home to a big time steal when it comes to senior OL. Drew has a fantastic frame to get into your program and build upon. Length, filling out with power really well, and still has so much room to continue to add on to. I love this kid’s tape. Drew always comes off the line low and looking to win the leverage battle. A battle the 6’4″ LT wins at a high rate. Drew has done a great job with hand placement. His athleticism is a major plus too, showing that he can come off level one and pick up a level two defender. On top of it all, everything the senior does is violent. He already looked good in his junior season, but Drew has made a noticeable leap as a senior. Somebody is going to get a steal.

. Drew is now up to 6’4″ 265 lbs and towers over the majority of his opponents. His budding frame looks the part of a next level OL. The mean, nasty, finish with violence play style shows up throughout his game. The junior OT has developed impressive foot quickness, balance, and agility that gives him the talent to quickly win the leverage battle and the body positioning battle. If keeping himself between the ball and defender on every snap wasn’t enough, Drew also has the power within his big frame to overpower and bury defensive linemen. Get this kid on your radar and invited out to summer camps.
