The Badger offense has been one of the most explosive offenses in the state in recent years. In part due to the outstanding backfield talent they have had come through the program. Another massive reason is the dominance of the OL up front. One of the multi-year contributors on the OL is

. The senior dominates as a run blocker. He shoots out of his stance with his hair on fire and seems to accelerate through his blocks, flattening DL or LBs in the process. The way this kid can churn his legs through the block is special and a big reason behind all his pancake blocks. That quickness off the line also expands into his range as he can easily get across the formation or up to level 2. The bit of pass pro that we have seen shows off the power in his anchor to easily maintain the pocket. On top of it, Jackson is an outstanding long snapper and should be a top recruit for that role as well. You need to check this kid out.

Jackson is a very talented OL and long snapper, and I foresee him getting looks and offers for both positions. Focusing on his offensive line play, Jackson is one of the most consistent guards in the state over the past two years. He has a State Championship and a second deep playoff run under his belt already with great odds of doing it again this fall. The tape is impressive too. Jackson is fantastic at staying low and using leverage to dominate his opponents. Badger is an extremely run heavy offense, so Jackson gets to fly out of his stance low, get underneath the pads of the DL, and drive them off the line and deep into the second level. His use of leverage is so dominant paired with his constant leg drive. The guard has no problem moving IDL to give the FB room to run. Take a look for yourselves.

The 6′ 265 lbs sophomore out of Badger put together a good day. It was great to see him get in reps showing pass protection after making a run to a State Title with his and his fellow offensive linemen’s run blocking abilities.
I was able to watch Jackson at center in 1 on 1s. He showed off a quick set that had him ready to engage and in a position of power before the IDL could close on him. He also was able to move well in short areas to stay in front of his opponent. As he develops his anchor strength he will take a leap in the pass protection part of his game. Along with his OL play, it is worth noting that the sophomore is also a talented long snapper to know. Keep an eye on the versatile lineman.

Rankings Jump: #73 Up to #54rnJackson was one of the five key contributors on the Badger OL on their way to a D2 State Championship. The sophomore spent 2023 gathering experience all across the line of scrimmage. We see him at OC, OG, and OT throughout the highlights. One thing that shows up no matter where he is, the kid excels at winning the leverage battle. Every highlight seems to show him underneath his opponent and easily driving them off the ball with his strong lower body. Winning the battle in the trenches is key for the Badger’s run heavy offense to succeed and Jackson fits that perfectly. He explodes out of his stance and closes on his man quickly. Buchanan also does a great job of positioning his body so that the defender is walled off from the gap the offense is attacking. Don’t sleep on this kid. He is on the come up.

Only a sophomore, Jackson looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. He is definitely a prospect to know going forward as a guard. Buchanan shined in the triple option, run heavy offense that Badger uses. He gets to burst out of his stance, close quickly on DL or LBs, and deliver big blocks that either flatten defenders or open up running lanes. Jackson has the range to get to the second level. He also has the power to maul DTs in the trenches and wash them down the line or walk them off the ball. Jackson brings that nasty mentality to finish his blocks with violence. I’m pumped for the next couple years of watching him in the Badger trenches.
