Tanner is a bully along the interior of the OL. The 6’3″ 270 lbs senior overwhelms his opponents as soon as he gets hands on. He is particularly dominant in the run game where he can clamp those powerful hands onto his man and run his feet. That lower body bulldozes IDL off the line of scrimmage. The big man has that tenacious mentality where he is going to drive his man until he can bury them in the dirt or the whistle blows. Either way he is going to be violent and open up holes. Tanner is going to be a great addition for a team. He is a legitimate target for the D2 and D3 levels.

I came into the season a big fan of the hidden gem out of Evansville. With 9 new weeks of tape I am even bigger fan now. Tanner is built to dominate on the interior. He has refined his athleticism, balance, and power to work off each other so well. Snap after snap the senior does a great job of engaging and staying in a position where he can always generate power while engaged. Tanner is quick off the line, closes fast on LBs, and instantly can turn his quickness and movement into power right at the point of contact. More teams should be interested in having Tanner play on the interior for them at the next level.

One of the top new OL in the rankings comes to us from Evansville, a team that saw several athletes added to the 2027 rankings as well. Tanner has earned offers from River Falls and Duluth this summer, and that should be just the start of things. The 6’3” 260 lbs OL starts his highlights off with several examples of his elite range and ability to land devastating blocks on elusive DBs. Watch further into the highlights and you see that the athleticism is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his talents. Tanner’s power is his true moneymaker. Whether it be setting his anchor in pass pro and standing up DL, or shoving them straight into the dirt, or absolutely mauling DL/LBs in the run game Tanner is one of those tone setters. He is violent, strong, and plays with no remorse between the white lines. Evansville is going to be a team to watch and Tanner is a big reason why.
