He also does a good job of reading his keys and triggering downhill. He has a great feel for the game as he can make plays in or near the line of scrimmage. He also shows a good ability in pass coverage. On one play, the offense ran a screen pass, and Flynn read it perfectly and made an interception. Flynn's ability to be patient and wait for the screen to happen, and then pounce on the interception. When he sees the ball carrier, he fires uphill and makes tackles near the line of scrimmage or behind the line of scrimmage. He looks like he is fired out of a cannon when he attacks downhill and makes tackles. He is an outstanding blitzer who is disruptive by putting pressure on the quarterback. He also had a few pass breakups as he can drop in coverage and knock down passes thrown in his direction while he is in coverage. His contact balance is some of the best I have seen this season. When he gets hit, he rarely falls as he keeps moving his legs. He also shows good speed, and when he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. His ability to cover wide receivers is impressive. He has the ball skills to knock down passes as well.
